         <title>Laser VS Inkjet / 1</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Inkjet printers (1951) use liquid ink that is sprayed onto paper through microscopic nozzles. Its name is almost a play in words because of how the ink is prayed out, like a jet almost, onto the paper.<br><br>The advantages of this are that they are much quieter than earlier printers, including the Impact Dot Matrix or DaisyWheel printers. They are able to print finer, smoother details through a higher resolution. Compared to laser printing, dye sublimation and thermal wax printing, inkjets don't have any warm up time, and often lowers the cost per page. However, low cost laser printers can have lower costs per page too. Some inkjet printers have monochrome sets that are available either from the printer manufacturer or from third party printers which allow the printer to complete with silver-based photographic papers that are usually only black and white, as well as provide some range of tones: neutral, warm and cold.&nbsp; Some types of industrial inkjet printers are now capable of printing at very high speeds, in wide formats, or for a variety of industrial applications ranging from signage, textiles, ceramics and 3-D printing into biomedical applications and conductive circuitry. <br><br>The disadvantages of this include how many ink cartridges now have a microchip that communicates the estimated ink level to the computer, which could cause the printer to display an error message, or incorrectly inform someone that the cartridge is empty. In most cases, this can be ignored, but some printers will refuse to print from that cartridge after the message is shown. For example, Epson embeds a chip which prevents printing when the chip claims the cartridge is empty, although a researcher who over-rode the system found that in one case he could print up to 38% more good quality pages, even though the chip stated that the cartridge was empty. Third-party ink suppliers sell ink cartridges at significant discounts (at least 10−30% off OEM cartridge prices, sometimes up to 95%, typically averaging around 50%), and also bulk ink and cartridge self-refill kits at even lower prices.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Solid State drives vs. Hard Drive disk</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>HDD (Hard drive disks) store data on magnetic storage and read it using a rapidly spinning disk, known as a platter.<br>Hard drive disks possess several moving parts, which wear down over time, which can eventually lead them to fail, limiting the service life of the hard drive. While spinning, hard drive disks also create a considerable amount of noise, which can be irritating for the user. The data fetch rate can also be slowed down if the hard drive generates too much heat from spinning, or if the computer is not regularly defragmented. And the biggest issue for hard drives is their notoriously slow speed, taking time to spin up when they receive power and taking around 2.9 to 12ms to retrieve data due to them only being able to read data when has rotated under the read/write head.<br><br>-Solid state drives use integrated circuits to store data in the form of flash memory.&nbsp;The main disadvantage of SSDs are their higher price, at around 24 cents per gigabyte, which is around 4 times more expensive than typical HDDs. They also have trouble with mixed reads and writes and may degrade over time. Solid state drives are easily interfered with by sudden power interruption, which can lead to aborted writes or in some rare cases total loss of the drive.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Laser printing (1969) is a version of electrostatic digital printing which produces high quality text and graphics (and even moderate quality photographs) by repeatedly passing a laser beam back and forth over a negatively charged cylinder (Drum) to define a differentially charged image.  The drum then selectively collects electrically charged powdered ink (toner), and transfers the image to paper, which is then heated in order to permanently fuse the text and/or imagery. As with digital photocopiers, laser printers employ a xerographic printing process. However, laser printing differs from analog photocopiers in that the image is produced by the direct scanning of the medium across the printer's photo-receptor. This enables laser printing to copy images more quickly than most photocopiers. <br><br> A laser printer requires no ink. Laser printers use toner, which is plastic and iron particles which melt to the paper with special heated rollers called a fuser unit. No ink means nothing to "dry up". ... Laser printer<strong>s</strong> may cost more up front, but the cost per page is a little as a tenth of what it is for inkjet printers.<br><br>Laser Toner Lasts Longer than Ink. Now let's compare these costs per page to a laser printer. An HP laser printer that retails for $400 and uses a $115 laser toner will yield around 8,000 pages. If you print 40,000 pages the cost will be approximately $400, plus $460 for the ink toner. Whereas,  the standard cartridge holds <strong>11</strong> ml of ink and prints 220 pages. The high-capacity cartridge holds 16 ml, or 1.45 times as much ink.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Photoshop - Raster/Bitmap images with some options for Vector, but they aren't as good as a Vector based software. Best used for images that don't need to be resized because if it is enlarged, it could be pixilated (where you can see the pixels in the image clearly). File formats include PDF, BMP and many more. It is a closed source software.<br><br>Illustrator - Best used for Vector images only. If you were to make a logo, this software would be better because it can be resized a lot better than a Bitmap because it's not made of bits. File formats include EPS, PDF and more. It is a closed source software.<br><br>For a business plan, they would be £25.28 per month each, but you could also get them in other plans. For example, you could get the Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps plan for £596.33 per annum.</div>]]></description>
