Human trafficking is defined as the movement, and enslavement, of human beings for the purpose of financial profit. While human trafficking can be sexual in nature, encompassing practices such as forced prostitution and involvement in pornography, it can also be labor related with victims being forced to perform difficult and strenuous jobs while receiving little to no compensation (Kotrla, 2010).
