September, 1935: Nuremberg Laws Passed

These antisemitic and racist laws were enacted during a meeting between the Nazi party. They segregated Jews and other "inferior races", removing a lot of their rights.

September 1, 1939: Invasion of Poland

July 10, 1940: Battle of Britain

March 11, 1941: Lend Lease Act

December 7, 1941: Pearl Harbor

This was a surprise attack on a United States harbor by the Japanese military. This greatly increased tensions between the two parties involved, and the United States looked for vengeance.

June 6, 1944: D-day

This was an attempted and very costly invasion of Normandy by the allies. This event would become the largest seaborne invasion in history, and took thousands of lives.

December 16, 1944: Battle of the Bulge

This campaign would become Hitler's last push for victory. It was a tremendous loss for the Nazis, as they were quite unprepared. The harsh conditions took thousands of lives alone, not even considering the actual bloodshed.

August 6, 1945: Atomic Bombs Dropped

The United States dropped two bombs on Japan, the specific cities being Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This was considered very immoral, as it was already a matter of time until Japan would eventually surrender itself. These bombings proved the power that the United States had.
