         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>We can safely assume the author is white.  It doesn't seem from the articles  that the author has any connection to the events<br><br>The author is attempting to be unbiased.  It's a list of facts.  There<br> is no moral value placed on the events either way.   It seems to be balanced.   There is no "virtue signaling."<br><br>It seems to be a factual bedrock of what happened, as long we can rely on the accuracy of the AP reporters.  They do include quotes from eyewitnesses/participants.  </div>]]></description>

He is very concerned about how he and the university will be viewed because of the students' actions.<br><br>3. Definite bias of a white man's perspective - he keeps talking about how these events are negatively affecting all the "progress" that had previously been made in race relations. He was also somewhat condescending to the female students who participated and who might be considering participating.<br><br>4. This document could be used in a classroom as "what-if" this scenario happened today; what if our principal made these statements to Reynolds students today?</div>]]></description>

Hatchett who was the advisor of the NAACP at Bennett College<br>2.  He helped lead the students at Bennett College as they created the idea of the sit-ins and invited students from A&amp;T to join<br>3.  The speaker has first-hand experience but would be biased based on his connections to Bennett College<br>4.  This would be helpful to help students see all of the voices involved, especially those of women.  This would also show the planning involved.</div>]]></description>
