This caused the sink to ship. On that day we lost more than 1,500 passengers and crew lost their lives.

These people say that this huge ship was sailing too quickly along the iceberg-heavy waters.

About an hour before the Titanic hit the iceberg, the other ship nearby called the Californian, radioed to mention the ice had paused them. Unfortunately, this message wasn't signalled mentioning it needed to be shown to the captain. The Titanic's radio operator, Jack Phillips didn't think that the note was important. So as a result this was a sign of miscommunication and one of the warnings they had missed.

In 2010, Louise Patten offered a new story on how the titanic crashed. (Who is Louise Patten? - Patten is the granddaughter of one of the highest-categorizing Titanic officer to survive, Charles Lightoller. She allegedly heard the story from her grandmother once her grandfather had passed.)
But the new theory was that the Titanic's crash was caused by one of the ship crew members. Apparently after the crew member had heard the order to turn "hard-a-starboard" they lost it. So instead of taking a sharp right turn, they turned left straight near the ice.

Building material being questioned

In 1985 the sunken ship had been found. These investigators learned that the ship had not originally had not sink in one. Scientists Tim Foecke and Jennifer Hooper McCarty discovered the wreck. They had claimed that there was a problem with the ship's rivets saying there was too much "slag." Sense slag is not strong they suspected that they only used this material because it was cheap, but may be one of the reasons that made that part of the ship fall apart.

Two other studies suspect that the weather had a big part in this situation. The first statement argued that the tides were unusually strong that year. Saying that increased amounts of ice lying around the North Atlantic. However, the 2nd study was made by British historian, Tim Maltin. Mentioning that the sky was very cloudy was very hazy on that night.

Whatever caused the Titanic to sink, fewer people would've lost their lives if the ship had brought enough lifeboats. The Titanic only contained 20 when they had left for Southampton. The 20 lifeboats could hold only 1,178 people. These 20 lifeboats weren't even fully packed when they left the ship. There were 400 open seats. Unfortunately, 1,500 people were left there to drown and freeze in the cold waters.

It's really interesting to think that the Titanic could have possibly avoided hitting the iceberg if they had access to the binoculars. Apparently, the second officer, David Blair, was the one who had the keys to where they were kept. Unfortunately, he left the ship before they departed for Southampton and forgot to hand over the keys to the officer who replaced him. It's a shame that such a small oversight could have had such a big impact on the fate of the ship.
