Song - Onara
I chose a Korean song which is 'Onara', one of the famous Korean traditional songs. Before choosing the song, I decided to do a Korean song because I thought I would be able to understand the meaning behind the song as well as the structure easily since I've been listening to a lot of them for a long time. Also, since they sound familiar to me, rather than remixing an unfamiliar song, I wanted to remix a song that I know well into an unexpected remixed song that would satisfy the people in this world, in this case my parents and peers. (modern style)

From many Korean traditional songs, I decided to remix 'Onara'. I was curious about the meaning of the lyrics because the lyrics are phraiseologically or grammatically not correct. Also, I was willing to know the purpose of writing this song. The reason why is because the melody didn't seem sad, but the lyrics were including something depressed and sad.

It was the most basic step to get to know what notes this song used and how it sounds like when played with piano. The sound was clear, but it didn’t match with the melody I’ve recorded already in piano. The file didn’t allow me to edit, so I had to fix my piano melody in order two melodies to be played exactly at the same time. Therefore, I recorded the piano melody again. However, there was another problem here. Because two same melodies with different instruments played at the same time, it sounded a little awkward to listen. 1. The first violin part was good, but the melody in the EDM part cannot be heard clearly
-> As a solution, I increased the dynamics of the EDM melody and decreased the audio track.

2. It doesn't end naturally, but sounds like the entire song just stopped.

Strengths
-  She created the introduction in order to help the entire song start naturally. The chords of the blues scale and the violin matched really well, and I could see that she has changed the chords a bit in order to be playing the same chord as the piano.

Improvements
1. She could have changed the melody or the instrument she used since 'surprise symphony' is played in the orchestra. In the orchestra, there are violins and piano involved, so her music piece sounded similar to the original song. As a result of that, I don't think it reached perfectly on the modern context, on the changed world where most of the people prefer fast, and exciting beat with fast tempo. 

2. Another one she could have improved on was the technical issue. The piano, and the violin sound had to match together. They seemed to match, but since the sound of the violin was too loud, I couldn't recognize the blues chords she was playing on piano. Also, when she was playing the chords of blues on violin, I couldn't hear the melody of the song; surprise symphony.

Strengths
- I have been able to demonstrate a piece of fusion music for the modern world. The two genres I chose are classic and EDM which are clearly presented in different sections. The beats are all played on the right timing and I was able to fuse the original song with the modern genres by keeping the melody same, but playing with different instruments and styles.
- The original message or purpose of this song is a court girl expressing her mournful feelings towards the king, but since it can't be used in the same way, instead, my fusion music has included another original purpose which is an amusement in a party or ceremonies.

Improvements
- The part where I included the melody on the EDM background, it sounded like it wasn't quite right because the chords didn't match perfectly. For improvements. I could have worked more on how to match them (by choosing other edm track that could match or changing the chords of the original melody.).

- I could have added another style of beat or track on when there was the part the melody of the song was playing on the EDM sounds for the second time. Because I listened to it too many times, I had difficulties realizing what should be added.
