Bloodletting is an Ancient Wisdom way to cure illness and diseases by withdraw some blood from the patient that the doctor believed they were "bad blood". This so-called medical therapy was based on a ancient system in which blood were referred as "humours" that is bad to maintain health. This had been practiced by surgeons over decades until the late 19th century. Saying from an Asian perspective, Asian ancient medical therapy also has this "disambiguation" or bloodletting therapy thousand years ago, when a patient got bitten by a venomous snake, physicians will suck the poisonous blood out of the body immediately by their mouths?!?!

URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloodletting

Definition:
Confirmation Bias is basically a tendency to remember events that involves favoring information that confirms your previously existing beliefs.

Connection:
We all have confirmation bias. Even how open-minded you think you are, there will be some kind of bias that will shape your opinion at the end. In Chinese tradition, every Lunar New Year eve we have to clean up the house and prepare for the new year, that said, on the first day of the year, we are not allowed to clean or sweep the floor as it will sweep all the luck and wealth and health away. This seems to be an unrealistic but it has become a very important tradition that every Chinese/Asian country that celebrate the same Chinese New Year has to follow. They confirm their beliefs neither the fact that within a year even if they did not sweep the floor they still didn't receive any kind of luck. However, the tradition still keep going on until today.

Or "organic".

Connection:
The word "Natural" is such a pretty sound. “Natural” is a handy go-to word to make the target audience share their skepticism. But the trouble is that not all natural things are safe. There are also horrible things are entirely from nature. "Natural" and "Healthy" are often hand-in-hand, but they are not synonymous. Things like poison from flowers, snake venom, mercury, black holes...They are all natural but you do not want any of them in your body. The word "natural" or "organic" will automatically caught audience attention when buying a product because of the good side of it, but often forget the unclear meaning of that nature.
