My Grandmother, Martha, told me about a time before the easy access to the internet people relied on the newspaper for news and learning about current events of the time. When she needed to complete research for a school assignment she would have to go to the the library, spending the entire day immersed in research and note-taking. Without the luxury of the internet, she had to gather all her resources before returning home.

It's hard to fathom the time and effort it took back then, not having instant access to information like we do now!
