Personally, I think that Disney handled the shark fin soup situation kind of iffy. Although they did discuss the issue itself they didn’t dive into the deeper more ethical issues. Disney was looking to bring in a lot of Asian culture to this park because of its location in Hong Kong, but it’s very important that they went about it the right way. That’s why addressing this issue was so important for them to do and although there were other issues it’s good that they at least addressed the shark fin soup problem.

Personally I’d say I agree with most of the comments from my classmates. If I were a villager in Uige I think that I may be closed off to foreign health workers as well because I don’t know them so how can I trust them. However, depending on mine or my family's health I would most likely turn to them for help.

It was important for Disney to include so many aspects of Asian culture, especially since their new park was based in an Asian country. It would have seemed insensitive if they ignored the culture, and continued business as normal. Even though this move led to a lot of backlash from others, it was better for the image of the company. The execution of including aspects of their culture could have been better done, and announced in a more appropriate way, however, it was still very important that Disney included them.

When trying to decide who might be at fault in a situation like this, I realized that no ONE group is necessarily at fault in a situation like this. While the Angolans could have been open to the treatment being given to help save their loved ones, their apprehension is wholly understandable given their cultural practices and beliefs being a major influence in their lives. And while the medical professionals could have been more empathetic to the culture of the Angolans, their urgency to contain such a deadly virus has validity as well. There is "fault" to go around in this case, which in turn essentially nullifies the word in this situation.

I think that Disney did what they should have done in regards to the handling of the shark fin soup, however, this move doesn't seem to be without ulterior motives. A major conglomerate like Disney is used to being embroiled in scandal, and personally, the removal of the shark fin soup seems more like a PR band-aid being placed on much larger ethical issues that are clearly permeating the business, with no signs of stopping.

Concerning point 3, I believe it was critical that they incorporated so many parts of Asian civilizations. This allowed the general audience to see the many cultures, demonstrating that the park cared enough to incorporate as much as possible for the general public. Overall, this appears to be a positive move on their side and might help to improve their standing in a circumstance such as this.
