I´m usually listening to a podcast or an audiobook, while I am doing chores or walking with a stroller. Then in the evening there is a little time for reading books, currently I am reading a book called Wonder by R.J. Palacio, which I can recommned for sure, it is suitable for intermediate level, no difficult vocab, an engaging story. If you are interested in reading, I can give you more tips! Reading is also great for increasing a vocabulary. I am used to putting some useful phrases to my Anki application and then revise it in the morning. I am also preparing for the state exams in spring. I try to have a lesson with a native speaker at least once a week via Italki. I try to learn English every day. I either read, watch movies, talk or practice grammar. But honestly, sometimes it's hard to force to do.
What works best for me? Definitely a conversation. I train listening, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary at the same time. I used several applications, but none suited me. I have switched all my devices to English. Instead of watching normal TV programmes I watch Netflix with subtitles or English videos on Youtube. I’m trying to find someone who will have patient with me and who will be talking with me online at least 2 times a week.I have tried many applications, but no one suits me. I listen to English every day for 15 min during my MBA studies. I like English movies with subtitles, but I don't have much time for movies and it's a pity that they are not available on regular TV. I don't think I have any special method. Sometimes I learn from books, sometimes from apps e.g. Duolingo.
