Padlet is an awesome, easy tool to facilitate asynchronous collaboration and discussion. Click anywhere, give your post a title, and then share a question, comment, file, image, URL, or activity. I use Padlet in Comp I as a place for students to share questions about assigned readings. Turns reading into a multi-user experience.

This blog offers a brief review of 5 learning apps. I highly agree with his assessment of Notability, ShowMe, and Google Drive. I haven't tried the other two though.
http://www.edutopia.org/blog/ipad-apps-all-content-areas-andrew-marcinek

Canvas & iPad: Not a Match Made in Heaven

if you are wanting to access Canvas on your iPad, it is MUCH easier to go through your Safari (or Chrome) web browser than through the Canvas App itself (the app is not well designed and there are certain things that don't work or don't work well on it). However, Speed Grader App is fantastic for quick assessments, even better than the laptop for grading quizzes, discussion boards, & attendance. If you want to do in class polls or "clicker" response type questions, Canvas has an app called "Polls for Canvas" that is quick to learn and easy to use.
