Tutankhamun was a highly successful pharaoh in his religious policies.

During Tutankhamun’s reign, he went back on what his father, Akhenaten had done and made the religion polytheistic, Pleasing the Goddess Ma’at. By pleasing her, Egypt was in a state of balance.

Although Tutankhamun restored the polytheistic religion, the main God he worshipped was Amun-ra the king of Gods and the creator of Earth.

To prove this, Tut changed his name from Tutankhaten to Tutankhamun.

During his reign, Tutankhamun restored many of the temples and religious buildings that his father had ignored and neglected.

Although Tutankhamun didn't reign for long, he was successful in his building works.

Tutankhamun did not start any major buildings but he did restore many temples and other buildings that his father had neglected, such as the palace at Karnak, a memorial temple in Thebes and the temple at Luxor.

During his time as pharaoh, Tutankhamun improved Egypt’s infrastructure by adding canals, roads and small buildings like houses.

Tutankhamun spent most of his building efforts on fully restoring the temple for Amun in Karnak, instead of only restoring the temple Tut added more, like the golden statues of all the gods.

When Tutankhamun came to the throne around the age of nine, he changed many aspects of Egyptian society which made him a successful pharaoh.

Tutankhamun moved the capital from the city of Akhenaten back to its traditional home of Memphis.

Tutankhamun reversed the monotheistic policy of his father, Akhenaten. He then restored the old religion that worshipped all of the gods.

Due to his young age, he was assigned experienced Vizier Ay, and the commanding general of the army Horemheb. Due to this, most of what Tutankhamun did inside and out of Egypt was likely influenced by these men.

Due to Tutankhamun's short reign, he did not experience many conflicts with other countries, which allowed his time on the throne to be largely peaceful making him an effective leader.

Tutankhamun repaired many of the neglected relationships between Egypt and its neighbours evidence shows gifts were sent between Mittani and Egypt such as the golden dagger, meaning the countries likely allied.

However, battles took place between Egypt, the Nubians and the Asiatics over territory and trade routes in which Tutankhamun actively participated. but due to his young age, many of the decisions made were likely influenced by his advisors.
