         <title>Betsy Lamb, Teacher, administrator, Robotics Coach (1977-2019)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Betsy and Rich Lamb met at a prep school dance in Massachusetts in 1968. They married in Wellesley in 1973 and in 1977 began careers at Cranbrook Schools in Michigan which would span over forty years. Betsy started her career at Cranbrook as a science teacher in the Boys' Middle School. She became the Assistant Head before moving to the Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School as Registrar. She was instrumental in starting the Cranbrook robotics programs. Betsy had many accolades for her robotics work, including Vex Robotics Mentor of the Year for 2012. She enjoyed many hobbies, including singing, playing guitar, and fishing on Squam Lake. She is remembered for her kindness and the impact she had on countless students.&nbsp; Donations can be made in her memory to The Rich and Betsy Lamb Fund to support robotics and computer education at Cranbrook Schools.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Peter Zavitz (85) life-time educator, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at his home in Hunt Valley, MD.&nbsp;<br><br>Beloved husband of 44 years, Pamela Proudley Zavitz, loving father of Lisa Beckwith and Andrea Mangels and her husband Jim and devoted and proud grandfather of Lindsey Beckwith and Rosa Mangels. Peter was preceded in death by his son-in-law Earl Beckwith and granddaughter Charlotte Beckwith.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
