I understood something very important - you have to push yourself beyond your current limits inorder to improve yourself and become an expert. It is publicly known that "practice makes perfect", and yet I have never thought about making it intentional and more meaningful.

It seems that I have been practicing these techniques all my life, even as a teenager, when I was tutoring my classmates. 
I especially like the technique of using analogy and giving various examples. This makes teaching fun and much easier, and the students generally enjoy it. Memory has been researched for centuries, but still, I think there is a lot more to discover and learn, especially in the field of teaching. The most meaningful input I took from today's lesson, is that we should have our pupils practice free recall as a learning strategy, and not as a means of testing and grading.
