My dad is my hero! He taught me to work hard, aim high, and live life not just for myself but for others as well. Inherited the most random traits/preferences - from hobbies like movies & running, to chores we prefer (cooking & grocery-shopping), to unhealthy food choices, to irrational conditions (blankets have to be fuzzy not smooth, utensils can never not match, and drinks have to be filled to the brim with ice cubes), but most importantly, mindset & outlook on life.

Been a daddy’s girl since I was little while my younger brothers are mama’s boys, so when he passed away in 2016 I didn’t have anyone in my corner for a while, but learned to be incredibly independent & self-sustaining since then! He’s the most hardworking & resilient person I know, and I try to go through life the way he did: fiercely and generously. Once in a while I take a break to watch a movie he would’ve wanted to see, while eating unhealthy food we both love, and raise an ice-cold drink to him knowing he’s probably doing the same thing in heaven!

Definitely my mom!

Despite all the arguments between us, I know she's the only person who would always tell me the cold hard truth. She shaped me to the woman I am today and I am very thankful for her 😊

She made me realize that being a mom is no easy task. It's a 24/7 job since even after work, she'd still cool and take care of all of us. Love how strong and amazing she is. Really appreciate all she's done for my family and I ❤️

My mom has ways been my role model since day one. Whenever I’m unsure of what to do or which decision to make, I’d always remember the values with which she raised, and what she would do if in that situation. Despite our differences in personality, she’s shaped me so much.

Furthermore, she has inspired me to be more driven and ambitious just like her when she was my age. I guess it’s safe to say that she is someone I really look up to and appreciate.

Mae, my former boss. Mae is the best mentor I've had in my life. It was with her where I experienced true radical candor, she was very critical with her feedback and wasn't afraid to get mad at me if I messed up. She made me realize how important it was to hone your soft-skills. She knows how to pace herself, how to pick her fights, when she should stand her ground, and when to concede, and when to take breaks. She also supported me outside of work, she'd encourage me to continue my hobbies (she commissioned me to do a portrait of her!)

The most important bits that I still cherish to this day was when she taught me how to ground myself when faced with impossible tasks. She was so good at that. I love her so dearly as a boss and as a friend, and I'm so grateful to have been her right-hand person. I don't think I'd be who I am today if it weren't for her.

My mom is my OG influencer. And I realized this only recently. When I thought I had my mind set on something, the smallest comment from her would make me second-guess my decision. I guess that's what good parents are to their children -- a MORAL COMPASS.

My mom's the most influential person in my life. She not only helps keep me grounded, but also always pushes me to do my best in everything that I do. She's the one person who knows how I'm generally feeling even without having to tell her. She also gives the best life lessons, advice, and has overall molded me into the person I am today :)

My mom! I can talk to her like I can talk to my best friends. She knows exactly what to do and say whenever I'm feeling low. She always reminds me of the little things. I used to find them annoying, but when I moved to Manila for college, those things stuck to me and have been doing them ever since.
