https://padlet.com/twinsgriffin/ld5ds7myt1ky Made with magic en-us 2016-07-04 21:01:11 UTC 2016-07-04 21:27:46 UTC hello@padlet.com twinsgriffin https://padlet.com/twinsgriffin/ld5ds7myt1ky/wish/115917112 I use ICT in class all the time.  The first thing I use ICT for is to find online resources to aid my teaching on a particular topic.  Children love the use of ICT.  It makes teaching and learning fun for all involved.  I have a bank of resources I continue to use when I teach specific topics.  This bank of resources has been collected by me for the last six years since I qualified as a teacher.  
Next year, our school is signing up to Aladdin.  I look forward to working with this resource as I have only heard good things about it .  
I also use dropbox to store my resources, allowing me to access them from other computers anywhere, be it at school in the classroom or at home! Its fantastic.
I love using youtube to allow children to watch video clips on a topic covered. I also use it to watch clips of stories read. The children love this. I also use it for action dances. Children watch videos of people and children dance and mimick what they see. This is used as a break between learning.
I use the camera a lot in my teaching, taking pictures of children in their learning.  I upload these pictures and I discuss them with the children.  Children love this and it is a form of self-assessment and peer assessment.
I use my IWB in the class.  I use it for Jolly Phonics and for Maths games mostly.
I love using websites like folensonline.  I love this website as I am using their planet maths programme and I love the games to compliment this.  
I also use the other educational companies websites for the other programmes I use in Junior Infants.  I use these to explain an activity and ensure understanding before the children carry out a written task.  I think this is fantastic and should be utilised by teachers more.
