Censorship is the action of examining a work intended for the public, deleting or modifying the part that does not conform to certain political, moral or religious approaches, to determine whether or not it can be published or exhibited.
Some examples of censorship are:
-The book burning in Germany that took place in Berlin on May 10, 1933 was an action of the Nazi party that aimed to condemn those titles and their authors to ostracism as anti-German.
-Hitler and the Nazis did not have problems only with the writers. In 1937 they organized two exhibitions in Munich: one of German art, with "nudes of sculptural blondes together with soldiers and idealized landscapes", as this BBC article recalls, and another of "degenerate" art, that is, of artists abstract and expressionist, among others.
-The index of books prohibited by the Catholic Church, which was in force in various editions between 1564 and 1966, and which included authors such as Erasmus of Rotterdam, François Rabelais, Honoré de Balzac and Jean-Paul Sartre, as well as books such as Lazarillo of Tormes.

Censorship is the act of eliminating information from speeches, books, films, newspapers, etc. Censorship can be conducted by governments, private organizations, and other controlling bodies with the objective of surprising any kind of information that could be harmful to their domain. The consequences of the censorship on our lives would be a more strict style of life, where we would not have much access to social media as we have today, and the government would be violating some of our rights The most common types of censorship are when the government deletes public posts on social media. Or more extremist measures as China, which banned all social media. In the last 100 years, we have seen a lot of censorship. The one that is important to remember is the one that was applied in the 3rd Reich, where they created a secret police force to spy and execute any person that was against them, or the case of the Soviet Union, where anyone that was against the government was sent to the Gulag to make forced work and usually die from the horrible conditions.

The term censorship refers to the suppression, banning, or deletion of speech, writing, or images that are considered to be indecent, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. Censorship becomes a civil rights issue when a government or other entity with authority, suppresses ideas, or the expression of ideas, information, and self.

Examples of censorship:

1) Li Wenliang, a Chinese doctor warned about the presence of coronavirus last December 30th. The authorities then accused him of issuing false news. He eventually died from the virus. China killed the doctor by announcing the coronavirus disease

2) Twitter is hiding the tweets of Donald Trump because he announce the US Elections are a fraud, he said that the Democrats are stealing the elections, Twitter obviously banned the tweets by putting a message of he can't confirm this data

3) Twitter delete the account of Donald Trump because of the Capitol's attack

How might your life be altered if you lost your freedom of speech?

It would be a dystopia for our society, it would be the beginning of the destruction of our humanity, by censoring, you would give an oppression of language that would generate problems of values, communication and education.

1) Censorship is when a forbidden scene is altered to make it visible to the public, especially when the audience is children or you want to hide a forbidden message. EXAMPLES:
a) Area 51: Everyday a lot of videos are filtered by hackers, they use the censorship in every video to hide the evidence of those videos.
b) CNN: Every news is censured to the audience, the audience can't watch the scence with blood or corpses.
c) Videogames: Just Dance is a famous videogame to enjoy in family, the censorship in each song is essencial to the audience. It can't put the complet song with all the rude words. 2) I would feel locked up, without being able to say anything, without being able to express myself and say the things I want to be able to reflect, without that I believe that we could not give an opinion on that to be able to have different points of view on the same topic.
