Active learning is similar to the kinesthetic learning. It is on the more physical side of learning with hands on activities. This is the way a lot of the kids I work with learn. They need to physically touch something and do an activity. This is especially helpful for kids when reading stories and being able to act it out helps them understand what's going on. It is also beneficial for teaching sports so they can try it themselves.

This is visual learning. For example, I made a powerpoint for a class to show understanding of a concept. Teachers will also post videos to help further explain certain concepts. A lot of visual learners benefit from seeing visual aids and powerpoint with presentation.

This could mean collaborative class work or group work. My teacher utilized this in my oral communication a lot which I did not expect. We did group speech and had class conversations every class. When I was in high school, we had a lot of group projects which most people loved. I personally hated group projects because I have control issues.

Authentic learning is when it is a real world situation. In math class, when the teacher creates a word problem and makes it seem like real life. I saw a lot of word problems based on measurements, like building a house. Another example would be doing chemistry experiment relating to a real world situation.

I feel like standards would be a bad example but I believe this was the goal of the state. Teachers also create objectives in order to motivate students who relate to goals. I am personally a goal oriented person so when teachers would give me goals I felt good to achieve them.
