         <description><![CDATA[<p>Universal Design for Learning is improving teaching based on how people learn. There are three focus areas: engagement, representation, and action/ expression. When teaching, educators imbue students' interests, persistence, and regulation. Representation focuses on perception, language/symbols, and comprehension. Action and expressions include using multimedia, improving access to tools, and setting appropriate goals. These three areas engage different parts of the brain.  </p>]]></description>
