If I was teacher I will first do small pretest to see what they know about money. I will ask questions in class and watch how they use coins. I will give feedback right away, not wait until homework or computer result. I also will change lesson plan if I see students confuse, not just follow last year plan.

HW: give clear instruction, tasks from covered topics, assignments regarding their levels, problems of different level

In-class assignments: start with easy level, tasks of classes's topic, assign to all students and based on their level, available resources

Quizzes: include covered previous topics, various level of questions, inlcude rubric for grading

DONT'S

HW: give unappropriate time for complex tasks, set of only advanced problems

In-class asignments: level of tasks doesn't vary, it is either easy or complex. Resources is not appropriate, ex: digital tools, internet, and etc

Quizzes: set of questions consisting either easy or complex questions. Grading them without rubric.

The last activity:
Do: Use Homework, In-class assignments, Quizzes as formative assessment to monitor student understanding and provide timely, constructive feedback to guide improvement. Encourage student reflection via asking students to review their mistakes and write what they learned from them. And also use differentiation based on results.

Don’t: Use them only for grading or judgment without giving students a chance to learn from their mistakes. Using homework or quizzes for punishment, making tasks too difficult or unrelated to instruction. Ignoring the results, and comparing students publicly or use results competitively.

If I were the teacher, I would help students right away, make the lessons easier or harder if needed, and change the plan for my class.

If I were the teacher, I would start by giving my students a short pre-assessment to see what they already know about counting money instead of making assumptions. Then I would group them based on their actual needs and not just on computation ability.
