A variety of buildings were constructed in the lands where Alexander the Great conquered. For example he built temples, theaters, and gymnasia throughout his empire. This contributed to the spread of Greek culture because everywhere the locals went they were surrounded by the sight of their precious cities being consumed with culture and architecture from the Greeks.

This is because His lieutenants claimed parts of the very strong empire. Each of the lieutenants. had their own empires. For example, Ptolemaic dynasty in Egypt. This helps spread the culture because even after his death, the culture spread and continued to live. This reign continued Even after Greece was conquered, The legacy still lived on. The work that the Greeks achieved in science and arts were the basis for many discoveries in the future.

"Alexander’s greatest influence was not his leadership (his empire was eventually conquered by Rome), but spreading Greek culture throughout the lands east of the Mediterranean. He is the reason that gold coins from Afghanistan depicted Greek gods and heroes until as recently as several centuries ago. It is because of Alexander that St. Paul, a Jew who lived in modern-day Syria before travelling to modern-day Israel, spoke Greek, and it is because of Alexander that the earliest Christian documents, including the scriptures, were written in Greek." This was one of the his biggest accomplishments as a ruler. He really learned how to spread his culture and conquer. He knew how to persuade people to join his nation and that way he had more warriors and subjects. This way he could conquer more and more territory for his nation to own and rule over. The specific style of his attacking was good. It is proven because of the visions that he made become life. He may have took down a nations religion by taking out the major religious leaders and so with no preaching they might be easier converted. He also, "After his father’s death, Philip II, he succeeded to the throne and swiftly consolidated power. Over the next 13 years until his death at age 32, Alexander created one of the great empires of history, covering an area as far south as Egypt and as far east as Afghanistan and India. Most of the world that he conquered had been the province of the Persian Empire." This may have later created many enemies that were allies of the Persians. This also would mean that his empires fall was inevitable.

Intermarriage Spreading More Culture

Another way Alexander the Great spread culture throughout the lands he conquered was by organizing intermarriage between his soldiers and the women in the land. This spread the Greek culture of raising children and family life customs. This was very beneficial to the spread of Greek culture because with a new generation of Greek born babies culture flourished and the Greeks had people in a majority of lands.

Naming Cities

Alexander the Great founded 20 cities, giving many of them unique names. For example, he named a city in Egypt Alexandria, this shows that he was the conqueror of the city, being that it is named after himself. This cant really go wrong because since he conquered the city, he could name it whatever he wishes. By naming it after his name, it shows that he conquered it, thus more people will know about the conquest. It also gives him a chance to put his name in the books of life.

Greek Gods

The Greeks also spread culture about there gods during the Hellenistic period. During this time period the strong Hellenistic mood contributed to the "infusion of Egyptian influence in Greek religion". One reference work states that,"The Sarapis cult, a fusion of Greek and Egyptian deities, was established and enjoyed popularity. This cult allowed Greeks to participate in Egyptian culture and also made Greek Alexander culture accessible to Egyptians". This shows that because of the conquests of Alexander the Great religion was also spread to nations that aren't even surrounding Greece.
