It's important for children to develop a sense of trust in their caregivers during the first stage of Erikson's development, as this will provide a foundation for healthy relationships and self-confidence later in life. I was taken care of as a baby, I was able to trust my parents when feeding, bathing, clothing, teaching, and playing with me.

During the second stage of Erikson's development, children learn to develop a sense of autonomy and independence, which is important for their self-esteem and self-worth. If children are not allowed to make choices and explore their environment, they may develop feelings of shame and doubt, which can have negative effects on their self-confidence and ability to take initiative later in life.

Thankfully, I was independent and made my own choices. At the ages of 1-3, I was able to communicate clearly and use manners. I could say over 100 words at 1 year old. I was able to feed myself with a fork or spoon, played on the computer and could even find the channels on my TV.
