1. for foundation students, maybe can use ICT resources as introduction
2. For the questions session after the activity (breathing together), can let students ask questions, and invite peers to answer. (same reason, foundation students, they can not focus on one topic too long)

I think something I might change is the length of time that the children are doing the activity for. I think you mentioned during the presentation 5-10 minutes but I would lean closer to 5 minutes especially for foundation level as they may start to get antsy and want to move around after longer than that, you may also get some students who start to fall asleep if it goes for too long. I imagine this exercise as something that you do everyday or a few days a week after a meal time or recess/lunch to allow the students to calm down and get ready to be in the room again.

I think maybe you can include some questions or build in strategies for children to use when they are feeling stressed. This might mean you do the activity individually and practice breathing on our own in order to build up that capacity.

For the introduction of the concept of "stress": maybe can provide a list of things or facts, that can be considered as stress for foundation year students, so they can better understand the concept. Or ask students to write on the board / thumb up & down activity, to identify the concept before activity

I think I would be curious how you would handle the behaviour issues that may come with getting into partners and how some children may end up feeling left out or alienated depending on how the partnering is done. Will you let the children choose or will you choose the partners? I think this is an interesting question that can be hard to answer sometimes.

I think this could be part of a longer sequence about self regulation and strategies to deal with big emotions. I think I would start to introduce zones of regulation and vocabulary around that as well.
