Today I learned about the one and only Hatshepsut. She was the first female pharaoh and was very interesting. Often she would wear a beard and dress like a man to make it obvious she has much power. She claims she served in the army and fought many battles. She led a successful expedition to Bunt for trading.

Hatshepsut also created the Temple at Dayr Al-Bahri. It is a large temple graced by 200 sphinxes, and it even has obelisks, which are just giant pillars. Her build was quite amazing at the time and is still amazing today.

The pharaoh Hatshepsut is known for being the first FEMALE Pahraho and a strong one at that, she was a very powerful leader and imposed that even more, she even wore men's clothes including a BEARD, ya a beard. Today, I learned about the Pharaoh Hatshepsut. I learned that she ruled from about 1473 to 1458 B.C.E. in the New Kingdom. She also made trade with the nearby people of Punt. I also visited the Temple at Dayr al-Bahri. It was built into a cliff above the Nile River. The entrance was two tall, thin monuments called obelisks. overall going to Egypt and learning about Hatshepsut was very worth it

I am writing to tell you all I learned about Egypt specifically Pharoah Hatshepsut. Hatshepsut ruled from 1473 to 1458 BCE. Under her rule, Egypt flourished in trading art and many other areas. One of her greatest accomplishments as a Pharaoh was when she made a huge trade to the distant kingdom of Punt and got many items they did not have in Egypt. Hatshepsut was also one of the only Female pharaohs, this was another of her greatest accomplishments.

I have learned that the pharaoh Hatshepsut was the first female pharaoh in Egypt. The people erased evidence of her from history but, scientist have found pieces of all of the evidence of the pharaohs reign
