Classes are too large and academics are forced to work harder just to maintain statistical standards that don’t necessarily correlate towards a meaningful education. In addition to this student fees are staying astronomically high, and yet students appear to be seeing less and less value for money. 
I’m not one to despise modern technology, I do nearly all of my work digitally, however paying £9,250 a year I do find it to be a little insulting that the University refuses to even give us the physical books for our courses. BibliU is a pain to use and doesn’t make working any easier.  In addition to this our printing budget is a joke, seeing as we have to print off our own materials for seminars and lectures, because again the university refuses to provide the physical document. 
Another issue with this is obviously eye strain from having to do all of our work on a computer screen, pen and paper isn’t always a bad option, at least in my experience. 
A final point I’d like to make is that the university should be looking towards providing meaningful education for its students. Fortunately within my faculty there are opportunities to learn outside the classroom, however I’m unsure if that’s the case for everyone. We shouldn’t be simply chasing percentages, once we graduate there’s a whole world where our skills and abilities will be of far more value than a simple degree classification.

The fees for students are too high for what they get in return and the pays for university staff are too low in comparison to the amount of work that they do. Both students and tutors are pressured to deliver a high amount of work under very short deadlines.
