Sarah Fortis, a resistance fighter was born in 1927, in a Chalkis a small town near Athens Greece. Sarah never got to meet her father, and was raised by her grandmother, so they enjoyed a jolly childhood. Sarah was 100% Greek, yet their family still celebrated being Jewish by lighting candles, and by going to worship at Jewish temples every friday.

When Sarah discovered that her the Germans were invading her hometown she knew it was best to leave. She heard about other Jew being deported and never returning, so they escaped to a small village of Kuturla. Here Sarah had to make a difficult choice, to leave her mother, for hiding. After this she decided to become an andarte, and helped recruit woman who wanted to fight. She formed a band of female partisans that became crucial to the male fighters, transforming young village girls to women. On their first mission the women performed very well, causing the men to be impressed, and to invite the females onto various missions. The females burned down houses, exterminate Nazi plans, and aided the males in many ways.

Describe the Impact: Due to this the resistance group helped many people, and the resistance, including Sarah became well respected figures. This even caused Sarah to be crowned the name of Captain Sarika for all of her courageous acts.

Nobody knows the when, where, or how of Sarah's death. According to her background information, a likely death of her was from her work as a resistances fighter. During her resistance work she risked her life many times, to put up a great fight against the Nazis, so she the Nazis might have killed her.

Nazi/Sarah's revenge

Since Sarah had become a well respected figure from her courageous work against the Nazis, the despised her. The Nazis thought believed that Sarah's cousin was her, so they captured her causing, and murdered her. Once Sarah knew that she would never see her cousin again, she took her revenge out on the Nazis that killed her cousin.

After the War

After the war the resistance group fell out of favor with the new Greek government. Due to Sarah's reputation of courageous acts, she was arrested, yet shortly released after. She then immigrated to Israel, where she met her husband and settled.

On the females, including Sarah's first mission they were ordered to throw Molotov cocktails to distract the enemy, and allow the partisans to attack. The females resistance group performed very well, and the partisans began to attack. The partisans recognized the woman's skill, and invited them to various missions, where they fought even better than before.
