People originally came from Asia across the Bering Strait.
The Native Americans lived in North America, The Aztecs and the Mayas lived in Central America, and the Incas had their empire in South America.
The French settled in the southern state of Louisiana. The Dutch and the Germans created colonies on the east coast. The british created their first settlements  in the southern state of Virginia. The British colonies did not want to pay taxes. In Boston a group of colonists boarded three ships and threw hundreds of boxes of tea into the sea. The protest of the Boston Tea Party was the beginning of the American War of Indipendence. George Washington led the American army against the British soldiers until the colonies declared their indipendence from Britain. In 1787, the representatives of the thirteen original colonies signed the Costuitution of the United States of America. The flag of USA was nicknamed the Stars and Stripes. The fifthy stars represent the fifthy states and the the thirteen stripes represent the original colonies.

SLAVERY AND SEGREGATION
In 1619 the first slaves arrived in the USA. In  1865 the Northen  states  abolished the slavery in USA. In 1886 the Supreme Court ruled in favour of segregation and limited the black Americans. In 1965 The Civil Rights Act. Two of the leaders of Civil Riights Movements was Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks.

Washington D.C.
Washington D.C. is the capital city of the USA. D.C. is for District of Columbia. Washington including the White House many museums, the Capitol and the The Lincoln memorial .

New York
its resident have origins from all over the world. It is on the Atlantic Coast at the mouth of Hudson River.
There are five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. NYC including skyscrapers, the Empire State Building and the One world Trade Centre.

Los Angeles
L.A. in Southern of California  it is famous for Hollywood and Dysneyland .

San Francisco 
San Francisco is the commercial centre of the Northen of Califolrnia. The most attraction is the Golden Gate Bridge, it opened in 1937. Another iconic image of the city is the sea lion.

In the North of India we can find the Himalayas.
India was the most important colony of the British Empire. The British came to India to trade in spices, silk, and tea with the East. The villages developed rapidly into a city which the British named Calcutta. Calcutta became the colonial capital of the British Indian Empire from 1772. Calcutta is a city of contrasts. It's one of the richest cities in India and there are  still poor areas where the inhabitants live in slums.
In 1931 New Delhi became the capital city of India.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandi " Mahatma"
He led the Salt March in 1930 as a protest against the British salt tax. After manu years of hunger strikes, India gained indipendence from the United Kingdom in 1947.

India is a fascinating country of different religious and cultures. It is the world's second-most populous country. India from the desert in the west,in the north of Himalayas,and the tropical beaches of south,and to the jungles of the east. Victoria Memorial is the symbol of British and today can see collections of sculptures and paintings ,iHabitant of india is the slums. In the 1931 New Delhi became the capital of India. The city comes alive on day of national celebration on indipendence day,and during religious festivals od Diwali of light and the festival of colour Holi and Eid al fitr of the day muslim ramadan.

HISTORY:

The british colonies did not want to pay taxes in Britain. The protest of the "boston on the 
tea" was the beginning of the indipendence of America. George Washington led the American army against the british solidiers the colonies declared the indipendence in the 1776. In the 1787 the rapresentatives the colonies signed the constitution of the U.S.A.
today the U.S.A is a union of fifty states plus Washington the capital of the U.S.A. The fifty stars represent the fifty states and the thirteen stripes represent the colonies.


SLAVERY AND SEGREGATION:
IN the 17th and 18th centuries the American colonies practised slavery. The slavery arrived in Virginia of 1619 of 20 african people. They were sold in exchange for food. They had to work in the tobacco or coton in the plantations in the southern of the America. The slaves had no rights and were separated from family and friends. The slavery was a very important factor of the American civil war. The northen states based their economy on industry and they wanted to abolish slavery, the southern states based their economy of agricolture and so profited a lot from slaves . This led a Ciwil war in the 1861 to 1865.

Washington is the capital city of the U.S.A meaning district of Columbia is an independent area on the potomac river and is the centre of the governement. In washington exploring the monuments of the National mall and the many museums.

Los Angeles
Los Angeles in localited in southern California is the second most populous city in the U.S.A it is famous for a Hollywood and Disneyland it opened in 1955 and today the magic kingdon attracts 16 milion visitors every year!


San Francisco
San Francisco is the cultural,commercial, and financial centre of the northern California. The golden gate Bridge connects the San francisco over the pacific Ocean. The bridge is the symbol important of the San Francisco opened in 1937. The image visitors the city is the sea lion.

the Commonwealth of nations or commomwealth is an intergovernmental organization of 54 independent states all united (except Mozambique and Rwamba) by the past belonging to the British Empire of which the Commomwealth is a sort of voluntary development. The total population of the member states is over two billion people. The word Commonwealth derives from the Union of commin and wealth. The commonwealth is a primarily an organization in which states with different economic conditions have the opportunity to interact with each othee more closely and on an equal footing. The main activities of the Commonwealth are designed to create an atmosphere of economic cooperation between member states as well as to promote democracy human rights and fair governance in these nations. Furthermore it is not a political union and does not allow the UK to ecercise any power in the internal affairs of the other members of the organization. Every four years members of the Commonwealth Games the second largest multisport event after the olympic Games.

A slums (or slum,favelas,barriadas) is an urban settlement Characterized by overcrowding and poor or informal housing Structures With inadequate access to drinking water and sanitation, as well as poor security of possession. In other words when we talk about slums slums or shunty towns we are talking about degraded suburbs that are an expression of urban decay but above all of social injustice. We also speak of megaslums when the slums and the communities of occupants merge into continuous bands of informal habitability and misery. Most of the world's slums developed from the 1960 onwards and today it is difficult to obtain precise  data as the population of the slums are often deliberalety underestimate by the authorities. The definition of slum offered however focuses on the physical and legal characteristics of the settlement and does not take into account the social dimension of the phenomenon. From a social point of wiew the inhabitants of the slums face challenges due to inadequate infrastructure and housing dangerous
places social and economic exclusion as well as violence and insecurity. The meaning of the slums therefore lies in the risk of creating "space poverty traps" which result is an unacceptable waste of human potential through social economic and political exclusion

Is the city that never sleeps .Its resident have origins from all over the world.It is on the Atlantic coast at the mouth of the Hudson River. There are 5 boroughs:Manhattan ,the heart of NYC and Wall Street , Fifth Avenue and Broadway make it the financial ,shopping and entartain ment centre ,Brooklyn,Bronx ,Queens and  Staten Island . A New York it is located the Central Park. 843 acres of green in the city centre . It is not only a park ,but also an open-air museum and a concert hall and it also hosts a zoo of 6.5 acres. If you are interested in animals don’t miss the Bronx  zoo , the world’s biggest metropolitan zoo , and the New York Aquarium .

THE STATUE OF LIBERTY 
In the city of New York there is the Statue of Liberty or "Lady Liberty" is on Liberty Island. She is the symbol of the "American Dream of freedom". The figure wears a toga and holds a book with the date of the American Indipendence in her left hand ,a torch in her right hand and a crown on hear head with seven rays  that symbolize the seven seas . However the most dramatic element is a broken chain that lies at her feet . She seems to talk with all these symbols of justice and to every one who is coming to the USA , a light of hope  for a new life . Millions of people saw the statue on first arriving in New York.
