I am Costa Rican and the oldest brother of 4 siblings. Because of that, I am expected to pave the way for my brothers to follow and also to help my parents go through the experience of raising a teenager, given that they will have to go through this same stage three more times.

I am 16 years old, born in Costa Rica. I was born in San Jose but currently live in Ciudad Colon. I've attended Country Day since Pre Kinder and hold Christian beliefs which were both passed on by my mom's and dad's families

Hobbies

As a child, I've always been encouraged to try new things and find new passions. This way of raising me shaped the way I am today. I used to play Soccer, I used to swim, used to Horsebackride, and used to practice Taekwondo in my early years, but finally ended up sticking to soccer, which is one of the things I enjoy the most. I am also learning a third language, which is German, and for the little time that I've been practicing the language, I feel I have a very good level. I also enjoy reading and writing. I love writing as I believe is a simple way to express what I am feeling. Another thing I really enjoy is traveling, as it expands my knowledge and exposure to other cultures and languages.

My parents did a good job raising me in a religious environment where respect is the most important thing. Also, they raised me to believe that Education is one of the most important things as well.

Why is it important to share our stories?

I think that it's important to share one's story because it provides the people in an environment to understand different points of view of that environment. Also, by sharing our stories, people can connect and relate to others and could create very strong bonds between them.
