Between the two primary sources, the attitudes are intelligibly and exceedingly different. The first source acquires an attitude that does not see the power in women. They make a statement that men have more potentials than women, however, they blame women and their "incompetency" for this. This can be seen through the quote "But take those same boys and girls at seventeen and eighteen, and the boy will have advanced far beyond the girl." The attitude of this source depicts a sense of small hope for women. The second source has an optimistic attitude towards women. They are aware that women are mistreated: "While boys have their liberty more or less freely granted them, girls must stay at home and sew and read..." However, this source perceives women to be of sublimity and power: "Girls, whose energies are still the most powerful ..." Both sources have a sense of awareness that women do not have the same privilege as men, but source one views women as weak whereas source two views women as deserving and strong.

(Reading 1)"There is no doubt that girls can, up to a certain point , be made to learn just as much, and as well as boys." (reading 2) "But instead of this equality , while boys have their liberty more or less freely more or less granted to them, girls must stay at home and sew and read, and play prettily and quietly and take demure walks." These two articles differ because in the first reading the writer goes on saying that a girl has just as much potential as a boy but in the second article it talks about how a man and a woman differ and a man is more free and has liberty and a woman is supposed to know her place and just stay home and please her husba

Boys are allowed to express themselves naturally. Women are suppose to be made more of an ideal woman, forced to stay home. The attitude of the secondary source is, more despiteful towards women. " This does not result because they are educated as boys, but because both are educated wrongly, and the girl is far more wrongly than the boy..." The attitude in the first primary source, superiority. " Boys are sent out into the world to buffet with its temptations to mingle with bad and good to govern and direct... Girls are to dwell in quiet homes, amongst a few friends to exercise a noiseless influence.

"Boys and girls at 17 and 18, and the boy will have advanced far beyond the girl." This passage is showing favoritism towards the boys, while as the the other passage is slightly more neutral. For example, it states: "They need equally to be hardened by the storms, tanned by the winds, and have limbs strengthened by the unrestrained exercise. " This quote implies that both men and women should endure the same hardships.

The second article describes that women have ability's and oppurtunities that they can accomplish just like a man could the writer describes that women are more energized and have ways that they could surprise other people by the actions they can achieve.
