Socrative is an instant response tool, that is free for teachers to use. It was designed for Kindergarten to 12th grade classroom settings. It is similar to the resource Kahoot! that I previously looked closely into. However, Socrative allows teachers to go more in depth with the assessments that they create. 2. Socrative allows teachers to create quizzes, surveys, and exit slips for their classrooms.
3. Questions can be multiple choice, true/false, and short answer. 
4. Students can access the assessments on their devices by using the access code provided by their teacher.
5. Reports can be run and created for the quizzes, surveys, and exit slips that the students complete. The reports can be created as a whole class excel spreadsheet, individual students PDF, or question specific PDF.

The enhancement tier focuses on substitution and augmentation. In this case, paper-pencil assessments are being substituted for Socrative. Students can now take the same assessments on a chromebook through this technology. As for augmentation, once those assessments have been completed, data is collected and reports can be run for the teachers to analyze, grade, and/or review. In the tier of transformation, Socrative allows teachers to modify and redesign the assessment that they would have given to their students via paper-pencil. The students could now respond to multiple choice questions, true/false, and short answers. However, Socrative does not go as far as redefinition. I would utilize this feature at the end of lessons to assess my students' knowledge of content and to determine whether or not I need to reteach the content. My students are highly motivated by the use of technology. I believe that utilizing Socrative to redesign assessments that I give them would be engaging for them. When we have completed MAPS assessments on the chromebooks, the students were so excited to take it. They did not care that it was a test, they were just so excited for another opportunity to use the chromebook. Socrarive does not offer a game-like aspect in it's design, which could be deterring and not as engaging for students. Unlike other technologies, Socrative does not allow teachers to upload multimedia into their quizzes and surveys. Teachers cannot incorporate audio tracks or video files. These aspects would enhance the quizzes, if it were available. 

I encourage that Socrative looks into ways that they could possibly offer multimedia aspects through their resource.
