You might try asking a Westminster graduate Samuel Michaelsson (samuel.michaelsson@gmail.com) who edits PAPER, and also perhaps Marco Provinciali
(m_pro1@yahoo.it) who edited The Ship – they are both more into the scene than I am.

 This sounds great! We could do some kind of announcement at the start of the 2nd and 3rd year launches? Working with the Westminster Architecture Society can be tricky as apart from a few key figures I’m never that sure who they are! Perhaps this could be start of something more concrete- I think it could be very interesting. 

We also have a ‘playweek’ in week 8 where tutors pitch alternative short projects (non-assessed)- a good opportunity perhaps to do something?

i am not really in touch with accademic 'zines' anymore but could point you to "The London Society" which does a journal and also "South East London Journal" which might be of interest?

 

Also might be a good idea to keep an eye out for London zine fairs. As most zines obviously don't end up in book shops, these events are a great way to source new and existing titles.

 

By and large though, I find most zine stockists operate online. In terms of UK-based outlets, La Biblioteka is a good one, located in Sheffield. Mzin is based in Germany but has a broad collection. Books Places People is a another German crowd, but again with a really great range of publications.

 

Otherwise, I find the best way to source zines is through the publisher themselves. Cafe Royal, for example, has an extensive online shop worth checking out (they generally do photobooks, but have strong architectural subject matter).

 

Other than that, the best method is to simply try and track down individual titles, perhaps using the Archizines site as a starting point, asking others for suggestions or recommendations. Can sometimes feel a bit like a needle in a haystack scenario, but there are guaranteed gems out there.

 

Anyway, not sure the above will be of any use to you at all, but hopefully it may be of some help.

 

I do, however, have a few copies of 2ha available here (which should be of more practical use to your zine collection). Could you please let me know how I should address these exactly and I can send them out later today.
