Social interactions- She used a turn and talk method multiple times with her different groups of students. She would also have them practice communicating with one another with different questions and answers they had been practicing and writing down in individual journals. Some of these conversational questions and answers included “What is your name?”, “My name is ________.”, “Where are you from?”, “I am from _______.”, “How old are you?”, “I am ______ years old.”, and more.

Cognitive- This was apparent in the explicit vocabulary instruction fro multiple groups of ELL students at different stages of literacy development. She also practiced scaffolding through providing visuals, having students participate in a variety of activities, and asking questions that required short answers they have been learning.
