The name of the story is 'Animal in the City'.

Recently, large wildlife animals have been increasing to enter towns and cities in order to find food. In Cape Town, baboons invade people’s kitchens, but the city can become dangerous for baboons, and human food has sugars, which is a bad thing for baboons’ teeth health. The city uses a baboon monitor team to send them back to the rural area, but many baboons return to the city. In Berlin, many wild pigs come to the city, and they damage gardens and parks, and they can cause traffic accidents, so the city council says that citizens do not give some foods. In Moscow, many wild dogs live in the city and have leaders. In addition, some of them learn about how to use traffic lights. People who live in Moscow built small huts for the dogs because the winter in this city is so cold. Many smaller animals can survive in cities, while it is difficult to live in the cities for larger animals, so they need our help to return to their natural habitats. In response, I believe the fundamental cause of the increase in the number of animals entering cities is human activity, such as habitat destruction and land expansion. So we need to be responsible and rescue animals to live or return them to their places.

The name of the story is ‘Bad secrets’

Peter stormed out of the class. It was the third time this month, while it was the second time Maria forgot her sports kit and towel this term. A week later, Peter and Maria met outside the school principal’s office. They were gathered as a student in detention. The opportunity they meet increased, and they started to exchange nods and greetings. Maria begins to think about whether Peter is being abused because she saw the bruises on Peter.

And Maria wanted Peter to notice both her and him were in the same situation, but he didn’t. By the end of the week, Maria tells her mother that someone may be hurting Peter, realising that bad secrets should be said to an adult who she can trust. Maria who realised these started to tell her mother about her situation.

In response, in the story, I was deeply moved by Maria’s confession to her mother because I could feel the deep relationship between Maria and her mother. I realised that it is an important thing to have a trusted adult in my life, so I want to build a good relationship with my parents from now on.

The name of the story is "Cheat!"

Mo was always nervous on exam week, especially about physics, which was her worst subject. She was being ignored by Terry, who is her friend. She noticed that Terry was looking at her phone during the exam, leading Mo to think she was cheating. She thought that it wasn't fair, so she talked to her teacher, Mr Reed. Terry was found looking at her phone during the exam from Mr Reed. After the exam, Terry came to Mo to explain the circumstances that her dad was in the hospital after a heart attack and that she had been checking messages from her mother for updates. Terry asked Mo if she could forgive Terry.

In my response, in general, I thought Terry should refrain from checking messages during the test. If Terry was concerned about her father's condition, I thought she should explain the situation to the school and ask if it would be possible to move her test to another day. I also couldn't understand how she continued to ignore her friend without explaining her father's condition.

While some believe dreams forecast some events, it's often just a coincidence because we have many dreams. Dreams may be made through a random collection of our thoughts and have symbolic meaning. Keeping a dream diary might help you understand the messages of dreams.

In my response, this story was interesting.

The name of the story is Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: book review.

This is a collection of 100 true stories about remarkable women written in fairy tales from 1500 BC in Ancient Egypt to the modern day. The story aims to replace stereotypical images of war heroes, scientists, and explorers with diverse female role models. The book emphasises the underrepresentation of women in history and Celebrates those who defied societal expectations. Some stories, however, lack moral judgment. For instance, controversial figures like Margaret Thatcher or pirates are included without deeper context about their flaws or the consequences of their actions. Firstly funded through Kickstarter, the book became a massive success, raising over $1 million and leading to a sequel.

In my response, I understand that there have been some prejudices against war heroes, scientists, and explorers. Many of the historical figures I learned about were indeed men.

The name of the story is Graffiti and street art.

Painting and writing on walls have a long history. In prehistoric times, People in Africa and Europe painted animals and people in caves. Graffiti has been found at ancient sites in Greece, Italy, Syria and Iraq. Especially in Italy, archaeologists found a lot of graffiti written in Latin, including political and romantic messages and even some magic spells. In Modern times, Graffiti began in 1970s New York when teenagers like Demetrius, known as TAKI 183, wrote their names or tags on walls and subway stations. Inspired by him, others created their own tags, which later evolved into larger and more colourful designs using aerosol paint. By the 1990s and 2000s, graffiti became a form of art, with some focusing on social issues and others beautifying urban spaces, especially in poorer areas of South America. The debate about whether graffiti is art or vandalism continues. While it is illegal in many countries, some places, like Taiwan and São Paulo, provide designated areas for street art. Street art has gained public appreciation, with festivals like the one in Bristol, UK, where artists transform streets into colourful displays. It has also entered galleries in cities like Paris, London, and Los Angeles, blurring the line between public and formal art spaces. Some street artists, like Brazil's Os Gameos, France's Blek le Rat, and South Africa's Faith47, have gained fame for their vibrant murals and thought-provoking works. Street art connects artists globally through the internet and continues to thrive in galleries and public spaces, ensuring its lasting impact.

In my response, I learned that painting was a common thing from ancient to now. In addition, even now, painting is continuing to evolve and also evaluating from around the world. Interestingly, most paintings have some meaning, and they don't have language boundaries.

The name of the story is "Happiness"

The article explains the difference between activities that bring pleasure and those that provide purpose, arguing that true happiness takes in balancing both. While fun activities can make us happy in the moment, and it makes a fulfilling life also requires a sense of purpose. For example, an air pilot's job may seem purposeful but involves tedious tasks, demonstrating the need for balance even in meaningful roles. Purpose can come from contributing to helping a team or making progress. Students can find purpose in disliked subjects by collaborating with peers or setting small, achievable goals. Paul Dolan, author of Happiness by Design, suggests a strategy of "deciding, designing, doing". Identify activities that bring pleasure or purpose, and then design a routine for them in your life. Some parts of our lives are the consequences of our luck, but we can design which can maximise happiness and ensure a balance tailored to your needs.

In my response, I learned that just fun is not enough for true happiness. I also learned that we need to balance pleasure and purpose.
