I recall from the video and past information that the Portuguese finally reached India in 1488. I also remember that Columbus hit the seas in 1492. The last thing I recall is that Vasco da Gama found a route to India.

They were the first people to discover parts of the world other than Europe. The most famous of these is Christopher Columbus, who sailed all around the world. The main reason why they started to sail around the world was to get spices, gold, and silver from India.

I know that when Christopher Columbus reached the Americas, he thought that it was India so he called the Native Americans living there "Indians". I also know that it was kind of a race between Spain and Portugal to find India because when Vasco de Gama actually reached India, he didn't want the Spanish explorers to know; so, Spain and Portugal divided the globe to Portugal would have most of Europe and Asia and Spain would have the Americas.

I remember from previous lessons that Columbus was trying to find India but found America and he called them Indians and i remember learning about the travel to India.

I remember the video saying that Prince Henry was exploring Africa and made it to the Indian ocean in 1488. Christopher Columbus was trying to find India, but did not succeed. While he was looking, Vasco de Gama found India and traded with them.

What I recall from the video is that the Portuguese reached India in 1488. I also recall that Isabella found Christopher Columbus and said the the Spanish also wanted India but he couldn't find it which caused drama.And the last thing I remember is that a few years later Vasco da Gama found a route to India and then made it a trade route.

Also, the Portuguese and the Spanish signed a treaty that split the globe into two sides for exploration. Finally, Vasco de Gama found a route to get to India, and Christopher Columbus traded with the natives. The Europeans got a bunch of food, while the natives got horses and diseases.

What I can infer from the video is In 1930-1945 Christopher Columbus Traveled all down the West Coast on Africa. Fast forward a few years later, Vasco De Gama Traveled all the way around Africa and then found India in 1488, Which then opened our trade routes Internationally.

I recall that once ships were built, trading became a lot more popular. But trading was not always fair. It shows in the video that Europe got tomatoes, chocolate, horses, and many more things, but the Indian ended up getting sicknesses from the trade. This can make trade dangerous because you never know what diseases someone could be carrying around.

In the information that was given. It talked about the Age of Exploration. It talks about Prince Henry and how he explores Africa. He starts exploring Africa in 1434 all the way up until 1445. Prince Henry led the Portuguese. In 1492 Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue. He did not find India. A few years later from Christopher sail. Vasco de Gama sailed. He sailed Africa and finally reached India. He then got the trading routes open.

From the "Age of Exploration" vocabulary, I remember the Spanish and Portuguese going back and forth over land and trading in the 15th century. Both wanted to trade with Asia for gold, silver, and spices. However, they knew it'd be difficult to travel so far only by land, creating the idea of floating ships. The Portuguese sent Prince Henry to Africa to explore, and the Spanish sent Christopher Columbus to explore the whole globe. This turned into an entire time of land and exploring, making more and more people want to explore, and more and more land to be discovered and claimed.

It discussed the age of exploration. I learned in the video that people traveled on ships because it was too dangerous to go on land. It talked about Prince Henry exploring Africa and how he led the Portuguese. In the video, it says that in 1942 Christopher Columbus sailed the Ocean Blue and did not find India. A couple of years later Vasco de Gamia sailed Africa and reached India and got trading routes open.
