The group decided on Feel It Still because we all liked the rhythm of the song and the mood it creates. It also has the meaning of not giving them the power to control our lives by voting. Because we cant relate to the meaning of the song of not voting and not obeying politicians, we thought if we transform the politicians to parents and teachers who are trying to control our lives, we could deliver the same message as the song in our video. To present this message in the music video, we thought it would be a good idea to start the video in a boring grey classroom, but running out of there and dance outside to show that we are not going to be controlled by adults and that we are free. The extras at the back would make the video better because we have a scene where we run out of class, and with all the students still staying in the building at the back, we can show that we are not obeying the rules and doing something that no one usually does, which is speaking up for themselves and doing what they think is right. A sister - Its good because you included change in space and level and its not boring because there ere a lot of variations of steps in the choreography. I think it suited and goes well with the song. Our strength in this project was our creativity in building a story around the song including the lyrics into our actions and to come up with ways to best deliver the story/message through the dance and the filming techniques. If we were to do this project again, I think we would change the way we used our time, and construct a clear timetable at the beginning of the unit. We spent a lot of time thinking of the moves in class, while we could have choreographed it at home and practiced in class.
