Students have this week (May 18-22) to continue to meet online with teachers, receive help, review concepts, and get caught up on any missing work for Term 4. Late work will not be accepted after Tuesday, May 26th.

I recommend that every person check ASPIRE to review your scores and make note of any errors, or items still needing an update. If you come across such errors, please email me with the name of the assignment or assessment, so I can see to it that the error is resolved. 

If there are items you want to makeup, I encourage you to schedule some time with me for that purpose. Every student that has worked with me in session has been able to turn things around completely, so please take advantage of my offer to help, and finish the school year out strong. You can schedule a time with me by using the attached link, but HURRY, the week is filling up fast. 

If you have finished all your work, and have some extra time, consider contributing to our class project, the remaking of our favorite internet safety rap. We are off to a great start, but I still need more video footage of you kiddos acting out what the song describes. If you have questions about how to do this, send me an email. Otherwise, let creativity guide you, and please send your videos to me ASAP!

RA Reverse Faculty Parade - Wednesday 27th at 2 pm We miss all of our students and families! We want to say hi, goodbye and happy summer break! Our 'drive-by' RA reverse parade will be held on Wednesday, 27th May at 2 pm at school. We are so excited to see all of your faces. Admin will send out more information closer to the date, including a parade route map, the names of faculty and teachers who will be at the parade, and a time slot for all families to 'drive-by' to allow traffic flow and prevent congestion as much as possible.
 *Unfortunately, due to social distancing guidelines we ask that all students and families remain in their cars during the parade.

Over the last few weeks these kiddos have demonstrated true growth mindset, grit, and perseverance. These students have buckled down and worked extra hard, proving to our community that anything can be accomplished if you set your mind to it.

I am so proud to have been your teacher for this very odd and all-too-short academic year. I have been able to get to know each of you, and you kiddos are fantastic. I believe in each one of you, and I can’t wait to see what you’ll do with your education, skills, and talents.

If you take away anything from my class this year,

I hope you’ll always remember to:

1. Stand up for those who cannot stand for themselves. Strive to be an Upstander.
2. Do your part to reverse the climate crisis.
3. Intelligently seek out news and current events and digest all media with a discerning eye. 
4. Continue improving your penmanship.  
5. Question anything you are told is “truth” if it isn’t backed up by facts or evidence. 
6. Be kind, put positivity into the universe, because what goes around comes around.
7. Use graph paper for long division.
8. Always protect and manage your digital identity and footprint by participating responsibly when using the internet and social media.
9. Be uniquely YOU. Remember, it’s being different that makes a person cool, special, interesting, and/or awesome.
