         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>It is a lot to hear all the responses.  Noticing how students stated "They make fun of my color and the way I speak."  We are not naive to this and we now know there is so much more happening that we don't know.  For example, the student that said, "ODR's don't do it."  <br><br>A positive noticing is that students know we care and that they feel comfortable coming to school.  </div>]]></description>

Students want to feel loved and valued, that someone is proud of them.   <br>Students want to feel loved by the adults- but also by their peers.  They notice when their peers are unkind and disrespectful- noticing of afterschool behavior.  (How are students extending the values and behavioral expectations to the after school hours/lunch time).  <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We need to return to more community building opportunities- Walk to School Day, Community Clean-up, School Led Family Nights, teachers passing out pencil boxes (home visits) before school starts  etc...<br>Continue Fall Festival.  <br><br>Plan after school activities that are engaging to continue to build the school community- Trimester.  <br><br>As a school, we could move forwards to think about how to bridge the gap for our AA students.  We feel that this would be so great for our Latino students as well.  We'd love to learn more about Responsive Classroom culture and Morning Meeting. <br><br></div>]]></description>
