         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>To Be or Not to Be:</strong><br>1. Hamlet believes his life is <br>meaningless and unfair. He is contemplating life and death, he decides to stay alive because he wants his revenge.<br>2. Hamlet is also considered to be crazy by his family and friends. He feels alone and has no one to turn to. Therefore, he questions death.<br><strong>Play within a Play:</strong><br>The play within a play technique moves the plot forward. This technique reveals that Claudius is guilty and Hamlet's plan worked. The article mentions the play as a whole is not the typical revenge play. One reason is that Hamlet confirms his father's words (that he was murdered by Claudius) but he does not kill him when he has the chance. Claudius is in prayer when Hamlet has the chance to kill him and he does not want Claudius to enjoy paradise in Heaven; he wants him to suffer. Therefore, Hamlet waits to kill Claudius. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.&nbsp; Shakespeare uses "The Murder of Gonzago" to reveal to both the audience and Hamlet himself that what the Ghost said was true; Claudius killed the King.&nbsp; He also uses the play to reveal parts of Hamlet's character.&nbsp; Hamlet's failure to act after the play shows his indecisiveness and hesitance, while that he even thought of using the play to trap Claudius shows that he is clever.<br>2.  In Hamlet's soliloquy, he is questioning what occurs after death, and whether or not it is worth it to kill himself.  He is taking his life, literally, into his own hands; he is assuming that he has the right to kill himself, that he is the master of his own fate, which is a very existential idea.  He also is questioning the meaning of his life/death, which is another existential concept.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Shakespeare uses the play within a play to use Hamlet as his mouthpiece on his beliefs on how a play should be acted out. He uses this part as an opportunity to share his personal beliefs. Also he uses "The Murder of Gonzago" to show the truth of whether Claudius actually killed King Hamlet or whether the ghost had lied.&nbsp;<br>2. In Hamlet's soliloquy, he is consistently searching for answers that are certainly answerless. He is wondering what will happen after you die which no human really has the answer to. He is also trying to decide he is own fate, he is basically making his own destiny.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Play within a Play:<br></strong>The play within a play in Shakespeare's, "Hamlet" was used in order to move the plot along and it allowed Shakespeare to use Hamlet as his mouthpiece. Shakespeare was able to speak freely about how he believed a play should be produced. A play is supposed to reflect what is going on in reality. By adding a play into "Hamlet," Shakespeare was displaying this opinion.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The play within a play is used by Hamlet to give him evidence against Claudius. This play within the play  provides the moment when Hamlet begins to move his thought to action and decide whether or not he's going to kill Claudius or not.It was the part of the story when we found out whether or not the ghost was honest and Claudius actually killed his brother. It is very important for the plot progression. It's also important because  it showed that Hamlet did have some doubt about Claudius killing the King and it showed Hamlet's intelligence by having the actors act out the scene the ghost described and see Claudius's reaction. It also added suspense to the play waiting to see was Claudius's reaction was. <br>To Be or Not to Be:<br>1) One existentialism idea from this is that we don't have to go through the heartache and tragedies of life, we can just die and be at peace and not live a bad life. <br>2)Another idea is that Hamlet decides to stay alive because he fears what happens after death and that it will actually be worse than his life now.
