My first lesson interested me because you have to identify the difference between what is being said and what the meaning is. With this lesson the students will sit quietly and using their 5 senses I will read a phrase such as "monkey business" then I would tell them would it look like two monkeys doing a business deal or a coworker messing around and getting in trouble.

This lesson plan just seemed so calm and relaxing for everyone. You could say this for a rainy day when all the students are struggling to focus or see if it something you could try to incorporate more in your classroom.

Pick partners and have 1 student from each group choose from a bucket of different idioms and which ever one they get they have to "perform". For an example when someone is getting married and they says "tie the knot" is it someone tying a knot or two people getting married and each partner will demonstrate what it is saying and what the actual meaning is.
