Recruitment is on-going.

They are currently accepting applications for eight upcoming projects from students at non-fee paying schools. 

Some projects will take place remotely via Zoom and are open to applicants from across England and Wales and some are in-person and London based. All of their projects are free of charge. 

Where projects have an in-person element, travel expenses and accommodation are paid for students travelling from outside of London/Greater London.

Students may (and are encouraged to) apply to participate in multiple projects.

Uptree is levelling the playing field. We help employers offer unique experiences of work to demystify careers and help students transition from education to employment.

The course includes coaching at the British Racing School’s world-class training facilities in Newmarket, a paid placement at a British racing yard for the winter and 5 months at a racing yard in Australia.

Funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), it is delivered in partnership with local authorities and expert providers across Essex, Southend-on-Sea, and Thurrock. 

Delivered by training providers Get Further and Clarion Futures, the programme helps you build confidence, gain essential skills and open doors to future opportunities.

Sessions run weekly, with small groups or one‑to‑one support.

On Wednesday, 22nd July, and Thursday, 23rd of July (Plus an extra day in-person in London on Friday, 24th July) from 10:00am - 2:30pm, we’ll be hosting a Careers in Law Work Experience with the University of Law, the UK’s leading institution for legal degrees and solicitor apprenticeships.

You will take part in mock legal lectures, work on projects and exciting legal tasks, and have the opportunity to ask questions and network with professionals.

Day 1 will be a virtual event, allowing you to participate from anywhere. Day 2 will be in person at one of their campuses in Nottingham, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, or Bristol. You can choose which campus you’d like to attend. Please note that spaces at the venues are very limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

The University of Law is the UK’s largest provider of legal education. They deliver legal training to over 90 of the top 100 law firms and will be running several lecture-style sessions designed to give you a taste of what it’s like to study law at university or through a solicitor apprenticeship.
