We are able to see because we have an iris and pupil that focus the light onto the back of the eye (the retina). This light is translated by the rods and cones in the retina into an image that can be sent to the brain through the optic nerve. The visual cortex in the occipital lobe makes sense of the image and processes it. (?)

This then goes to the Audio Cortex when the information is processed. Another thing i learned was that one singular eye has 7million cells.
