I have a lot of favorite books. Outside the comics and manga, Roald Dahl's Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is my favorite. I read the version my mom had, which had this cover. I liked it, a lot. I read more books my mom had made me read, I liked them too. Though Charlie was somehow still my NO.1. Although if I complete A Series Of Unfortunate Events that might beat it out.

My book recommendation is the novel by Donna Tartt, "The Goldfinch." It's about a 13 year old boy just going through big changes in his life after the death of his mother. There was a movie adaptation of this book that was released in 2019, starring Oakes Fegley, Ansel Elgort, and Finn Wolfhard. I personally enjoyed both the book and movie. Even though they're not that popular anymore, I still recommend it.

I don't really read that often, but this book makes me want to read so much more than I do! The story follows a group of girls trapped on their boarding school on an island, all of which are starting to get infected with an unknown and unstudied disease. I think this author has a very interesting writing style and I couldn't help but get pulled in by her words and descriptions. I won't spoil any further, but I think it's worth recommending!

My book recommendation is 'The School for Good and Evil" by Soman Chainani. I recommend this because this shows that you have to accept what they give you either you like it or not. It is a tale in which best friends Sophie and Agatha are about to discover where all the lost children go: the fabled School for Good and Evil, where ordinary boys and girls are trained to be fairy-tale heroes and villains.

I would recommend to you the book; "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio. It is very beautifully written. The story is based around a boy named August Pullman who was born with a facial deformity (meaning his face was deformed). The age range is from 8-12, but I think it is a great book for people of all ages. The story engages you, and the characters feel real as if they are coming off the page and can bring the readers into the story. Bullying is one of the main topics, to which many people can relate. We can see the point of view of not only the victim but the bully as well. Throughout the whole story, we explore different views from different people. I would give this book 5 stars, it is a very powerful and engaging book and I enjoyed reading it very much. A series I would recommend is A Series of Unfortunate Events, I would love to tell you about it but that means I would have to write another essay. 😅

Hii! Since Sophie L. mentioned "Series of Unfortunate Events" by Daniel Handler (pen name Lemony Snicket) I'll write the essay for her! hehe. Series of Unfortunate events is really good and I would definitely recommend! It's about 3 siblings who are rich losing their parents and their house to a fire with an evil man chasing after their inheritance. It is a very interesting story and I would definitely recommend it.

I would recommend is the book series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" by Rick Riordan. It's based on a boy named Percy which he has both ADHD and dyslexia and he is the son of Poseidon, God of sea. It basically based on Greek Gods, so not only you can be entertained, but also learn about history. I really like this book because you learn to never give up, and it also increases your imagination while reading it.

Hello! My recommendation is called Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. First, here's a summary: It is a series of comic strips about the author's childhood in Iran (that was in the '80s). I like that she took a big risk to make this book. It has 153 pages, and it turned out to be REALLY good. And let me tell you WHY it is good.

-Original story
-It is a memoir, I love memoirs.
-Mix of different genres
-The author expresses everything she remembers, even the violent and sad parts of her childhood.
-All in all, my favorite book.

Read it for yourself if you want. I'm actually surprised nobody I know has heard of it. I mean, my personal age recommendation is grade 3, so I was quite shocked when I showed this book to people (this exact cover) and they weren't interested. Comics are fun ways to express things. In my class, it is VERY underrated. But, I get that they haven't hear of it a little because it is kind of...Violent and graphic. This book is not for everyone, but the people who do like it, like it very much. Fun fact, Emma Watson had read this book (and its sequel which I have not read yet). I have tons of other books to recommend, but again, this is by far my favorite.

Hi! Im Tory Iglesia! :3 This is my favorite book. I am starting to read this series that I know some of you have heard about. The name of the book is Demon Slayer by Koyoharu Gotouge. A manga ( witch is like a comic ) that is about a boy who wants to be a demon slayer, for her sister has become a demon and he has lost the rest of his family. This book has a great story and has good drawings (or pictures) to represent whats happening and the setting of the story. I really like this book and if you guys are interested in this kind of book try to read them! :D I hope you like my book and I respect all of your guys' opinions! :) Bye! :3

I recommend the book "Little Women". I am sure a lot of you are familiar with the book or movie. This book contains the story of four sister; Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy and the author being Louisa May Alcott. From the way it is written and the lessons given I'm sure many can enjoy reading this book. It is really interesting as it dives into the lives of the sisters and how they face poverty and its hardness with each others support even if they are all different in many ways. It really shows the sisterly and family love that they all share. It is a book definitely worth reading !!

Hii~ My book recommend is "One of Us is Lying" by Karen M. McManus. This book has everything you'll ask for mystery, romance, drama etc. (There is also a TV Series, But I prefer the book:> )The main plot of the story is that 5 different and unique high school students of Bayview High Bronwyn, Addy, Cooper, Nate and Simon are forced to be in detention together, One student didn't make it out of the room before the end of detention. It was Simon, He was known for being the gossiper of the school, Investigators found out that the student's death was planned and not an accident. And the other 4 people in detention with him was all suspects. All throughout the book those 4 students alternate in writing and they all sound guilty. The book starts with "Everyone has secrets, right? What really matters is how far would you go to protect them." Read the book to find out who is guilty! (´• ω •`) ♡

I would like to recommend Aphrodite the beauty, for ages 8 and above.
The story revolves around Aphrodite deciding to help Athena and give her a makeover. Aphrodite does such an amazing job that soon all the godboys flock to Athena instead of her. Aphrodite isn't sure she likes the change in behavior, as she is used to godboys being around her. The situation complicates when Ares falls for Athena, Aphrodite's crush. Aphrodite gets upset at Athena, but wants everything to go back to the way it was without losing their friendship. Only one godboy seems to be attracted to Aphrodite, which is a godboy named Hephaestus. He gives Aphrodite gifts and attention, and although Aphrodite is honored, she only likes him as a friend.

Meanwhile, a mortal named Hippomenes requests Aphrodite for help with a maiden named Atalanta. Atalanta is famed for being very fast, and Hippomenes wants to win a race for her hand in marriage, even if he dies trying. Aphrodite has a plan, and Hephaestus makes three golden apples for her to give. Hippomenes wins the race by throwing them in different time intervals to run ahead of Atalanta. Atalanta can't resist picking up the fruit, and they end up getting married.

When the goddesses return back to Mount Olympus Academy, Aphrodite realizes that although Hephaestus may not be handsome, he has inner beauty. She notices a goddessgirl named Aglaia staring at Hephaestus wistfully, and encourages him to go talk to her.

I recommend this book, it’s about the villain who has 2 low god grandmothers fortune and death, and she uses the power of her grandmothers powers to steal form royal family’s, she pretends to be a princess AKA princess Jislle she eventually falls under a curse and becomes good friends with Jislle and falls in love with the detective and becomes a good person.

It’s very interesting and you can learn that even if somebody is a villain they can change and not all villains have it easy, there is always 2 sides of the story.

I recommend this book to people who like Greek Mythology. The author is Liv Albert. I really like this book because it has most of the Greek Myths, all 12 of the Olympian Gods, and the 12 labors of Heracles/Hercules. This book also has great illustrations and myths. This book also has the story of the birth of the creatures of Greek Mythology like, The Minotaur, The Cerberus, The Chimera, The Hydra, and more! I recommend this for 9+. This truly is a great read and I hope you enjoy it.

But on his 11th birthday Hagrid, a wizard came to his house and told him that he was a wizard and he came come to Hogwarts, a school for wizards and witches. There, he met Hermione and Ron, his friends. during his time at Hogwarts he played a game called Quidditch. But strange things happen to him and Voldemort wants to murder him.

Hi, Good morning/afternoon depending on when you see this... Anywhoo I recommend the book, Daughter Of The Deep, especially to those who like fiction, adventure, mythical things, and long lost... boat I guess in this case in... And the book HARRY POTTER!

This book's main character is Ana Dakkar a beautiful girl, who has a pet dolphin and made friends with a GIGANTIC octopus :I. The Author is also Rick Riordan of Percy Jackson.

This book gives me Harry Potter vibes because in their school they have 4 houses that you go to based on your talents. (I will put the info about the houses and the book at the very bottom) and Ana's parents were killed when she was young BUT... she has no scar nor is there any talking hat that says "Hmm, difficult. VERY difficult.":PP

By the way I am trying SuPEr hard to not give any spoilers. I know you can't see me but I am literally sweaty, and I have the AC at 16.0 c.

I'll just write a summary of what you'll get when you read it:

A girl Ana Dakkar loves the water and goes to a school right by the beach. She has a brother who she swims with everyday, his name is Dev Dakkar. Anyway, I don't recommend a book, I recommend an author, RICK RIORDAN. Like, I was legit crying when I saw other people who recommended Rick Riordan cuz like, legit no one else in my class has even read Percy Jackson. (Except Reiko *happy tears heard in the background*)Dang- this will get long.

I recommend this book for older readers.

So, Rick Riordan makes mythology based books. Like, Greek mythology in modern times. He currently has, uuh. (1...2...) 5 SERIES! Based on mythology. So I will list all of them in timeline order. (Btw, I haven't read Daughter Of The Deep and The Sun And The Star yet)

Percy Jackson And the Olympians
-The start of Percy Jackson's journey. Modern day greek demigods, Rise of the Titans, BETRAYAL. Noice.

Heroes of Olympus
-DUN DUN DUN. Mother Earth (Gaia) has woken up! And she's evil and wants to destroy civilization for revenge for her children, the Titans, she also joined forces with the giants because they are also her children. The Greek demigods discover the Roman demigods and have to team up! (Yas. A crossover. AND PERCY IS STILL THERE. Because after the fall of the Greeks, the Romans made the Greek gods into their own version)

Kane Chronicles
-EGYPTIAN MYTHOLOGYY. Wizards. Sadie and Carter Kane are Egyptian wizards and ALSO have to stop bad guys from destroying the world. (Haven't finished the series yet but YES. They also met Percy and Annabeth later)

Trials Of Apollo
-Apollo was sent down (more of thrown) to Earth as a mortal and has to endure a series of quests as punishment because he did something stupid that made the war against Gaia more harder. (Just to throw in here, Apollo is bisexual, even in mythology :>)

Magnus Chase and the Asgardian Gods
-Norse mythology. Magnus just died and went to Valhalla and just discovered he's a Norse demigod. Now he's been trying to delay Ragnarok and the giants trying to destroy Midgard (Earth) he also has to defeat Loki on the way. (He even meets Percy because he has to train and Percy's gf, Annabeth Chase is Magnus's cousin)

So yeah, one way or another, all of his series interconnect or crossover. (Random fact, but in almost every series, there's a gya ship except Kane Chronicles, people who understand will decipher that word)

(A ship dynamic that you might notice a lot which is my favorite one has problems and is pressured and/or is consumed by the darkness of the past while the other is the one who heals them or bring light to their life.)

So there are people who are an ace at world history because of being in the Countryhumans fandom. I tried, I failed. There are people who are so good at drawing because they learnt from an art book. I lost the art book TvT. But there are people who have an absolute obsession with mythology, thats me :D. Besides, it really pays to know your mythology. If you get an E at your test about mythology because of your obsession with Percy Jackson, give me a shout :> .

So yeah, I think I'm done. Btw, if y'all want books with pics, then srry, this doesn't have any. But you are missing out on a lot if you don't try. Wow this became long. Dang. Anway, you can find Rick Riordan books in almost every bookshop, Kindle, and in the school library! (DISCLAIMER: most of the Rick Riordan books are in the hs area so yeah... TvT) Also, you have to get used to shouting in your pillow because not only do these series have gya but Rick also has a dark sense of humour. (He killed one my fave character *crying*) So yeah. Random fact to get you interested, there is this ship between a les and a gay bc they were brainwashed and thought they were really in love. Curious? Read all the series to figure out who it is. I absolutely LOVE Dork Diaries from Rachel Renee Russel! All 14 of them get interesting once you have read the first 20 or 15 pages! But since I haven't really gotten all of them in person, my father converted the complete collection to be an e-book for my e-reader/Kobo! The summary is quite simple; it's about a girl named Nikki Maxwell (Inspired by the name of the author's daughter/illustrator, Nikki Russel) who forms friends, a crush, a rival, or even frenemies! I've read half of the 14 and still can't get enough! Anyways, I hope you enjoy one of the books if you haven't read one! Goodbye!

Hello. My book recommendation is called “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I am sure that at least some of you know this since you watched the movie and/or read the book. I recommend this book because it is really interesting. It is about the Little Prince who fell in love with a rose then he left and went from planet to planet. The Little Prince also understands the importance of life. There are photos given in the book so you can understand, but for me I mostly used my imagination. I believe that all ages can read this book. In my opinion, this book is my comfort book. I would’ve told you more about this book but it might be too long. You might be entertained by this book while you read it so I mostly recommend reading the book.

I personally really like this series! I read the whole series in around 3 weeks or 2? It's really fun!

Basically it's about a girl who seemed to have obtained the power of flight and stuff.

I'm not good at explaining but you'll get it once you read it, I can't explain in detail due to the enormous amount of plotwists and little secrets that will only be understood once revealed.

Hello! My book recommendation is The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I am sure that you've seen this movie/book! For those who want to watch the movie its in Netflix and for the book you can buy it on national bookstore you may see posters of them! I found the movie/book very entertaining and nice. Its about a young prince who visits various planets in space, including Earth, and address themes of loneliness, friendship, love, and loss. Fun fact! They made it hand-drawn and clay animation in the movie.

I like the story because it teaches kids to read more books and be more knowledgeable about different things. Matilda is brave and kind. She stood up for herself and her classmates. Hello person who’s reading this! If you LOVE hilarious types of
books, I got one! I suggest Captain Underpants (12 books in total) its pretty good aswell as watching the movie. You can watch the movie in different streaming apps (not sure for netflix though) and you can find the books in Lazada or Shopee (your pick). Its all about two kids name Goerge and Harold. They have a mean principal named Mr. Krupp and absolutely hated them. So the kids bought a so called hypno - ring and used it on Mr. Krupp. They wanted to make him think he was Captain Underpants. Captain Underpants was a superhero that was a so called parody of every superhero.
When they made Mr. Krupp think he was Captain Underpants he actually thought that he WAS Captain Underpants and tried to fight actual “bad guys”, you can finish the rest though.

If you are up for something mysterious, dramatic, and scary, I have the book for you!

The Lighting Thief is one of my favorite books so far! it might be scary sometimes, but that's the fun part! You might even get goosebumps while reading! This book has many heartwarming, traumatic, and scary parts. I have read up to page 43 because I only borrowed this book recently, but so far, it is really good! I recommend this book to people who love horror or people who want to try something new. There are 22 chapters in this book so if you want to read something long to spare your time like if you finished all your enrichments, activity cards, and IW's but you don't want to go to LEAP, you can read this! If you want a small taste of this book if you are intrested, heres a small part of the beggining.

In the book, Humphrey is the one narrating and his language is very cute! It is all about his adventures being the class pet.

This book is a graphic novel it is like a comic but with chapters. If you have this book physically, it will look very long. But its really not! How I discovered it: I was talking to my non-Povedan friend this summer break and we really and I mean REALLY loved reading books and then I got a book about Greek Mythology and she said I have a book about that too! So she talk about it and memes about it too (though I didn’t understand at the time mainly cause I thought Percy was a girl) then I googled the books then she told me the purpose of some memes then I got really interested into the series a month later I asked my mom & everyone else in my family to get it for me. Ok fast forward 2 weeks later and I finally got the books. Now fast forward again I got the rest of the books then I just became hooked the the series and now I’m just waiting for my family to get me the other books

Being polite and practicing by saying please, thank you and I am sorry are the words we should always remember. When we see someone feeling left out, we should invite them to join in so they will not feel disregarded. Learning how to compliment others is the best way to build confidence. The Ice Monster is a really great book and I definitely recommend for you to read it. It’s one of my favorites and I’ve already read it so many times.

—Plot—
Elsie is an orphan, who’s trapped in a bad orphanage where she is fed cockroaches and bathed in maggots and wishes for a family. One day, she sneaks into the National History Museum to get a glimpse of the newly-arrived Ice Monster from the North Pole, perfectly frozen in a cube of ice. I totally recommend Thea Stilton: Treasure Seekers. (yes its another thea stilton book) It's about the stars of the series (The thea sisters) going on a trip in another country, when an incident leads them to meet a descendant of a young mouse that was known over 100 years ago. They find her school, find her diary, and find more secrets (trying to be vague to not spoil haha) if you like adventure, and a fairly long book, this is for you! If you are looking for an enticing, exciting book that will get you on the edge of your seat with its crazy trials and lore, I really must advice you to read The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Other Stories, a book about a very infamous detective known amongst many people around the world. Many of you currently reading this may already know of him and may possibly dismiss this, but believe me, upon reading it you will be absolutely fascinated at the clever tactics used within the book. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes was made in 1892 by Arthur Conan Doyle, who was inspired by his medical school professor at the University of Edinburgh Medical School, Dr. Joseph Bell.

As a humongous Ace Attorney fan, I of course have watched the gameplays of al the series, including The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, which in some cases, was inspired by some of Sherlock Holmes' many cases within the book such as the "The Case Of The Speckled Band" and the rather famous case of Holmes', "The Hound Of The Baskervilles". Upon finding this book in Fully Booked, I skimmed through the chapters and found these cases placed upon the Chapters Page and I was ecstatic to read more about it. I am currently on "The Sign Of The Four", a case much more difficult than the last and I am very excited for how this will all be handled by the great, Sherlock Holmes and his apprentice, Dr. John Watson.

The amount of literature and the amount of new vocabulary, at first, confused me. All the words used were some of which I did not understand and it was somewhat of a challenge, in other words, which I enjoyed. The book is around a thousand pages and the lettering is rather small, making the challenge even greater. I found this challenge to be perhaps an unforgettable experience I would love to engage in more. It would challenge and enhance my mind to be more open to the great things this world can bring.

I am very excited as to what this will hold, and I truly do recommend for all of you to read these blood-curling and adventurous journeys of Sherlock Holmes.

During the mission, he meets a young man dressed in red. The man looks a lot like the ghost king (named Hua Cheng) that even the heavens fear. However, he turns a blind eye to this since he doesn't find any reason for a ghost king to just be wandering around the mortal realm. After the young man (named San Lang) admits to have ran away from home after a disagreement with his parents. He then decides to let him stay at his house. (yes, this is a bl, but it's not exactly centered around that) What will happen next? Read it to find out !!

I recommend The Beast of Buckingham Palace by David Walliams. The setting is different because it’s in the future, and there’s a big adventure that we get to follow. I chose the book, "Miss Nelson is Missing!" by Harry Allard and James Marshall because it teaches children to show good manners, discipline and to be responsible while in school. It made me curious when Ms. Nelson headed back home, prepared for bed, took off her coat and hang it right next to an ugly black dress while saying to herself, "I'll never tell." Can it be that Miss Nelson is actually Miss Viola Swamp? I noticed too that the name of the character and the title of book, "NELSON" sounds like "LESSON" which is what the book is all about -- learning lessons the tricky, scary way.
