The font used on the front cover is a bold, sans serif font. Due to this the font has connotations of masculinity. This then portrays the artist as masculine. The font used for the artists name is a smaller sans serif font which looks very similar to the font used for the title. This then gives it the same connotations. The font used on the back cover is another plain sans serif font which means that it is easy to read the track listings. Due to the fact it is simple so it can convey information it does not represent the artist. The font used on one of the inside panels is identical to the front cover and therefore conveys the same ideas.

On both the front cover and the inside panels the artist is in the center. While this does not follow the rule of thirds it does get the audience attention as the rest of the image is background. This draws attention to the artist as he is the only thing in frame. The artists name is small on the front cover and does not draw the eye at all. This could be because they did not want to draw attention away from the image as it is more eye-catching as the artist is instantly recognisable and therefore works better as a lure. The back cover does however uses the rule of thirds to draw attention to the artist and not the track list, showing that the artist is more important.

The image on the front cover is a close up of the artist and this draws the attention of the audience and focuses them on the artist. It makes the artist feel closer and more relatable and this is conventional for the pop genre. The back cover has a low angle long shot of the artist playing guitar and this shows the artist as more musical and the low angle makes him seem more powerful and attractive. This is conventional for the pop genre. The remaining inside images consist of two long shots and a mid shot of the artist. These present the artist as stereotypical for the pop genre through his pose and outfits. This is due to the trendy clothes and powerful poses.

The digipak is very conventional for the genre as it presents the artist positively. This is conventional for the pop genre as the artists are always seen a people you want to be and idols. The trendy clothes and warm colour plate makes it so the artist is presented this way. The close ups used, as stated, also helps to draw the audience in and connect with the artist as they feel close to him. The digipak fits with the pop genre well as it focuses on the artist and not much else.

The main colour used in the piece is orange and this is seen as a warm and happy colour. This presents the artist in a positive way as it shows he is a kind and warm person. This is conventional for the genre as pop artist are generally seen as happy and positive so this fits with the genre. The dark blue seen in the two standing long shots contrasts well with the orange and makes the two images stand out, it also however gives the artist a sense of mystery the orange on its own wouldn't. This makes the artist seem more interesting and therefore makes the audience more likely to buy the digipak.

The font used is a sans serif simple font. This presents the artist as an every man as the title isn't bold and doesn't jump into your face. This font is used all over the digipak and this makes the digipak seem less interesting than the bold big fonts on the Justin Bieber digipak. This makes the artist stand out more as the font doesn't leave an impression. It does the job of telling the audience the artist and title and them leaves them to focus on the artist. This makes it somewhat conventional.

The layout of the front cover is very simple. The artist name is directly at the top of the page and is the biggest font. This shows that the artist is the most important part of the album. The album name is directly below this in a smaller font and this doesn't make it catch the eye. The artist is also positioned in the center of the page, with his head in the direct center. This does draw the attention as it is the only thing on the lower two thirds of the page. The inside and back both use a very centralised layout and this is unconventional as the layout does not use the rule of thirds.

This is conventional. All other inside images are the same close mid shot as the front. This creates a sense of familiarity and focuses the attention all on the artist as the audience is always close to him.

The colouring of the album is mainly black, white and grey with a bit of blue. These are all very calm colours and give a sense of peace and tranquility. This could be seen as unconventional as pop generally feature bright and happy colours and not calm muted ones. The colours present the artist as more reserved than other pop artists, and this doesn't make the audience want to be him.

The digiak is unconventional for pop as it is a very calm and almost bland cover. The plain layout and colour scheme don't draw the eye as much as the bright and up close Justin Bieber one. The digipak presents the artist as boring as he is in black and white and dressed very plainly and this is extremely unconventional.
