Anti-Everything by DED
"Run your monopoly
I am the opposite God forbid I could be
Living antithesis, revel in this resist
Maybe you get the gist venomous
Standing in line is the way that you go
I will survive on the path that I chose
Sever the ties from the blind and all those
Ignorant b*st*rds I am in control."

This song’s main focus is the opposition to literally everything. In my opinion this is transcendentalist because it glorifies the non-conformist ideals, and even takes them a step further.

“The troubles of modern life come from being divorced from nature.”

-Isaac Asimov
One of the most important ideas to the transcendentalist movement is that nature and people are one. In today’s world we have separated ourselves from nature and according to transcendentalist thinkers, this may be the root to many of our problems.

In the End by Linkin Park
"The clock ticks life away
It's so unreal
You didn't look out below
Watch the time go right out the window"
This song, to me, is a reminder that in the end, nothing really matters because of how insignificant we are as a species in this vast universe. It also calls to attention the transcendentalist idea that people will just sit by and watch their time pass without ever actually truly being.

(Don’t Fear) The Reaper by Blue Öyster Cult
This song is a constant reminder to me that although death is eternity, I shouldn’t fear it. No other thing in nature has the same fear of death that humans do. "Seasons don’t fear the reaper, Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain." This idea that nature has no fear of death is transcendental in that since we are one with nature we should learn from it and learn to overcome the irrational fear of death.

#1222 Michael Shermer
-The Joe Rogan Experience
In this podcast, Joe Rogan, a comedian/public influencer/self-proclaimed intellect, interview professional skeptic Michael Shermer. They discuss in great detail several of the world's greatest conspiracy theories. They talk about how people shouldn't just believe what they are told and that humans in society should express themselves as individuals more frequently. Free thinking individuals have often been criticized as outcast, but occasionally the words they preach have had greater impact as the rest of the world gradually learned and understood what they did. Henry David is a great example of one of the people, who at the time, seemed crazy, but as society matured, his ideas made much more sense and became relevant.
