It was intended to protect the citizens during the war, but it was also supposed to protect the Japanese from those who were opposed to the Japanese.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Life in the Internment camps was challenging. They had to stand in line to use the restroom, be vaccinated, etc.  They had to live in animal stalls. A survivor from the internment camps named Masura Kawaguchi was born in 1925 in San Francisco California. He was 16 when he was taken in to the camps then got out at 18. He was a champion basketball star in high school before he was taken to a camp in Utah.</div>]]></description>
