one of the first things I did was trim down the excess length of the tracks where there wasn't any sound and re-adjusted the position of the tracks

For Zoe's vocals, I amplified the high and low frequencies to make her voice be more noticeable since the instrumental tracks overshadowed her voice. Additionally, I added a DeEsser to round off her vocals so that the high frequencies weren't too sharp to the ears. I also added some reverb and a BL driver to make her voice stand out more.

For the bass, I first lowered the volume since it was overshadowing the vocals and I added a delay to give the impression that there were more notes than there actually was which helps it sound more in time with the song.

Rehearsals

To begin with, we worked on multiple songs: HOT-TO-GO, Superheroes and Is love a mistake. However, as we were rehearsing HOT-TO-GO, we realised that three weeks wasn't enough to fully rehearse and record all three songs and so we all decided to settle on HOT-TO-GO since we all liked it and were already confident with playing pop songs. While rehearsing, I found it easier than our last project because I had more experience with the bass which made learning new songs easier. When we got to recording the song, we realised we didn't have a drummer this time around, but luckily, Will C had a level 3 friend who could do the drumming for us. Working with the level 3 students was a bit difficult at first because it was something we had never done before, and it was also a bit difficult because of the fact that we were essentially made to work with a lot of new people. However, we managed to record HOT-TO-GO over a few weeks. Something that I think I could have done better was improving my communication from others because it wasn't until the beginning of recordings that I fully polished my part.
