The China Space Station is a space station system built by the People's Republic of China. The orbital height of the space station is 400km, the inclination is 42 degrees, the design life is 10 years, there are 3 people staying for a long time, and the total weight can reach 180 tons for large-scale space applications. In 1992, the Chinese government formulated the "three-step" development strategy for the manned space program. The completion of the space station is an important goal of the development strategy. The construction of a large space station is the third step of China's three-step strategy for manned spaceflight. At this stage, China will master the technology of low Earth orbit space assembly, long-term manned stay in low Earth orbit and other technologies.

At 14:22 on July 24, 2022 (Beijing time), the Long March 5B tele-3 carrier rocket carrying the Sky Quest Test Module ignited and launched at Wenchang Space Launch Site, China, and the launch was a complete success. At 3:13 on July 25, 2022 (Beijing time), the Interrogation Module was successfully docked to the forward port of Tianhe Core Module. The whole docking process lasted about 13 hours. In October, the Mengtian experimental module was launched. On November 3, the Mengtian experimental module of the space station was successfully transposed, and the "T" basic configuration of the space station was assembled on orbit.

Four manned missions

At 9:22 on June 17, 2021, the Long March 2F Remote 12 carrier rocket carrying the Shenzhou 12 manned spacecraft ignited and launched at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. Since then, the Shenzhou 12 manned spacecraft has successfully separated from the rocket and entered the scheduled orbit. It has successfully sent three astronauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo into space. The flight crew is in good condition and the launch is a complete success

At 0:23 on October 16, 2021, the Long March 2F remote 13 carrier rocket carrying the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft ignited and launched at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. After that, the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft successfully separated from the rocket and entered the predetermined orbit. Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu were successfully sent into space. The flight crew was in good condition and the launch was a complete success.

At 10:44 on June 5, 2022, the Long March 2F remote 14 carrier rocket carrying the Shenzhou XIV manned spacecraft was ignited and launched at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. After that, the Shenzhou XIV manned spacecraft was successfully separated from the rocket and entered the predetermined orbit. The flight crew was in good condition and the launch was successful. At 17:42 on June 5, 2022, Beijing time, it was successfully docked to the radial port of Tianhe Core Module, and the whole docking process lasted about 7 hours.

At 23:08 on November 29, 2022, the Long March 2F Remote 15 carrier rocket carrying the Shenzhou 15 manned spaceship ignited and launched at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The Shenzhou 15 manned spaceship separated from the rocket successfully and entered the scheduled orbit. The flight crew was in good condition and the launch was a complete success. After entering orbit, the spacecraft will conduct autonomous fast rendezvous and docking with the space station assembly according to the predetermined procedure.

At 7:33 on November 30, 2022, the three astronauts of Shenzhou 15 successfully entered the China Space Station, and achieved "space rendezvous" with the crew of Shenzhou XIV astronauts for the first time.

On the evening of December 2, 2022, the crew of the Shenzhou XIV and Shenzhou XV astronauts held a handover ceremony, and the two crew members handed over the keys to the China Space Station. China's space station officially opens the long-term manned mode.
