"Two really popular parks in Eugene are Bond Park and Oakmont Park for smaller children. They are similar because they both have play structures, areas to run around and lots of trees for shade.  They are very different too.   On one hand Oakmont park has water to play with in the summer and a basketball hoop, but on the other hand Bond Park's playground equipment is not as close to a busy street and is less busy. Overall, if you are very diligent at watching your kids I would recommend Oakmont park for parents with small children for the variety of play equipment and the water option in the summer. They are similar because both of these parks are amusement parks and they have pretty similar attractions, but in someways they are really different. Universal has many more rollercoasters than Disneyland and their attractions are more terrifying, but Disneyland has much bigger attractions and a WHOLE CASTLE!. It also has much more variety and cool things like Star Wars and Jurassic park. On the other hand universal has Harry Potter and Transformers so it is really your choice and both are good. Skinner Butte park has a Big Playground and a 1 mile hike. On the other hand Jim Corbett state park is very different from Skinner butte. Jim Corbett State park has a lot of animals roaming around in the park, and you ride a truck to see the animals. I would recommend Skinner Butte if you are a kid because there is a playground which is fun.
