This comment supports Ruth’s feeling about the small, claustrophobic nature of their living arrangement. She is concerned about where the baby will sleep at because their is no room in the house. She doesn't want the baby to be in the way of other people. Also the baby need its on spot. It cannot sleep on top of people.

I don’t know where we lost it…but we have. I—I’m sorry about this new baby, Walter. I guess maybe I better go on and do what I started…I guess I just didn’t realize how bad things was with us.
 This explains that Ruth is genuine because she said that she was sorry for having the baby. Walter is not ready for the baby. He makes her feel like its all her fault. She is a really nice woman and thinks that she has to appoligize for what happened. She doesn"t know how she  is going to live in the condition that they are living in now with all those  people. when the baby comes Ruth is going to feel affectionate like how the woman is to the little girl in the picture.

A little thing, 
a simple gift,
Flowing seamlessly in a lift,
Giving life to its cool, concerned touch

Weightless like air it flies,

This relates to my character because the poem basically explains Ruth. When it says  "Raising a calm, excited, but rapid bunch". That relates to Ruth because the baby is going to kinda calm things down in the family. The only things is that its gonna be very rambunctious. Quote- Walter expects Ruth to show her support for him by doing what he wants her to do. Ruth's husband never stops to consider what she might want of him. Of course, Ruth does keep her desires quiet.

This quote supports the theme because its explains how family is. In a family you are suppose to support one another. Also a family is being for happy for someone and supporting their dreams. When Walter wanted to open a liquor store she wasn't really for it because he doesn't always follow through.
