1. Participating in the display team will definitely be a thrilling and fun experience. You will have to work with many people to be able to get this done. As you work with your fellow teammates, you will get to know and understand them better and in the process, friendship is forged. When you get to make friends, every moment spent with them even in training will be a fun-filled one.

2. On the extreme level, bungee jumping and sky diving is definitely counted as risky sports. Being able to let yourself drop from as high as maybe 100 stories off the ground is not something anyone can possibly do. It takes a lot of courage to be able to do that. I personally is rather scared of heights, but if chance is given, bungee jumping is definitely something I would like to try even once. I think it would be a great and memorable experience for me. If we are talking about something not as extreme, then personally I feel rollerblading or ice skating and even skateboarding is a sport that carries some form of risk. Its hard to balance and without skill and practice. Furthermore, one can easily get injured by falling. I have tried ice skating once and I know it's not easy. It was hard even trying to balance on ice. At the end of the day, I wasn't able to skate. I ended up falling over over. Recently there has been a coined term "YOLO" and it stands for 'you only live once'. I believe that this term has great influence over the decisions made by young people nowadays. For example, one is pondering whether or not to take part in an activity or do something that carries some form of risk. Let's take bungee jumping as an example. Even though he or she can easily just quit but then at this point, this 'YOLO'
mentality comes in and influence the thinking of that person as well as to change the decision that person is about to make. Instead of feeling scared and afraid, he or she now may think that maybe it's worth the challenge as after all you will only live once. If you don't do it now, when will you do it? After all these thinking, it's most likely that he or she will jump and take on the challenge.

3. If I could I would like to say that everyone is equipped with safety consciousness, but sadly that's definitely not the case. If everyone in this world is equipped with proper safety knowledge, accidents like drunk driving will not have happened. If you ask a driver if drunk driving is dangerous, I'm pretty sure he or she will answer with a yes. Its just the matter if we actually want to listen and take action. However, I believe those people are part of the minority. Even if there are people who are reckless about safety, that does not mean we are not aware of any safety consciousness at all. I'm sure the majority of the people is aware about issues regarding to safety. For example like myself, I do think i'm quite conscious about my own safety. I make sure to check if everything is alright before I start on anything. I believe that is a must. Lastly, I feel to be able to participate in the display team or any kind of sports, you will have to be equipped with some form of safety knowledge to be able to properly participate in the sport. The coach or instructor will definitely educate you if not, brief you on safety matters before starting on the sports activity itself. From my experience of participating in various sports or activity regarding to sports, the first thing the instructor will do is always to brief us on safety issues so that we know what to do to keep us safe as well to prevent injuries. Hence I believe, despite the fact that there are people who are not aware of safety consciousness, the majority of the people are properly equipped with safety consciousness.

Q1. I would enjoy participating with the display team by performing with them on special occasion. For example, sports day in school or even national day. Personally, performing for others is something that we can be proud of and to me, able to participate and learn different type of skills and it is a sense of achievement. The different type of skills may be, teamwork because we have to work together to train and perform at our best and also our balancing when we are in the sea skiing.

Q2. Some risky dangerous sports that young people participate in is for example, scuba diving and mountain climbing. It is not possible for everybody to dive into the sea bravely with all the different species of aquatic animals in the sea. Aquatic animals like sharks, stingray and jellyfish are dangerous and may hurt us. Personally, I wanted to try scuba diving but I am just to afraid that the aquatic animals would hurt me. Another example I said is mountain climbing, I feel that it is the most risky dangerous sports because when we are climbing, all sorts of things may happen. The risky part is that every element of this activity is risky. We can receive different physical injuries like twisted ankles, sprained muscles, broken bones, back injury, concussion, or even frostbite. Weather changes can be lethal, one can lose path easily, and deaths are quite common.

Q3. We are very conscious about our safety but some of them are not. In my opinion, safety is the most important thing.I would always check if everything is right and safe before taking it. For example, roller coasters, to me I feel that safety must be the first no matter what because everybody is precious regardless of race and religion and we have to take good care of ourselves, families, friends and even strangers if they did something dangerous we should approach them and tell them to be careful. People that are not conscious about their safety are like people who break the laws like tourist attack. Tourist attack would cause lots of people to be injured or even death because for example, ISIS ,they attacked people by bombing, shooting and setting fire. This would eventually cause conflict between people living there and the tourist

1. I will enjoy participating with the display team for water skiing as i like doing something out of the ordinary in our life.Water skiing is also a sport that requires team with good communication, teamwork and having the trust in your teammates.personally in my opinion this type of sports is my favourite type of sports because doing something to able to pull something amazing off together and having the sense of achievement at the end is the best.

2.i feel that most youth these days participate in some dangerous sports or activities like diving in deep oceans or sky diving.these type of sports requires us to have the basic fundamentals for the sports if not many unimaginable accident may happen.for example for sky diving and ocean diving if u do not know how to sky dive or diving u might end up sinking in the ocean or endangering your life by jumping off a 100 story building.

3.well most of us are very conscious about their safety as I believe that all of us do not want to get injured or even die.sports like water skiing will definitely have some lessons on safety measures for us before doing the sports.so therefore even if we are not very conscious about our safety, safety itself will come to us as other people who are more consious will bring safety to us therefore most ofbus will be vey consious about our very own safety.

Q1. I would enjoy participating with the display team as this requires lots of teamwork, communications, trust and it is challenging.i personally like sports that is challenging, requires lots of team spirit and at the same time being able to perform for people and let them enjoy. Also you will be able to bond with ur teammates and get a stronger friendship.

Q2.I personally feel that young people will participate risky dangerous sport like hiking.Hiking require lots of strength and at any point of time you will you will feel tired and slip and fall and will cause lifes to be fatal and also at any point of time the weather will be bad and this will cause more dangerous things to happen.

Q3.I personally feel that teenagers like us dont really bother about saftey consciousness as we always thought of having fun first and never think of safety.this will lead to serious consequences as it will lead to some serious injuries and we might regret it.therefore i think it is important for us to look out for our safety.

At the same time, participating can help you gain new experience and also able to overcome your fear.
2. Water rafting is one of the risky dangerous sports that young people do. It is challenging and gives them the sense of satisfaction.
3. In my opinion, young people these days do not care about their safety even thought safety always comes first. Therefore, there should always be rules when they participate in dangerous sports.

Manisha's Response

1)I would definitely enjoy participating with the displayed team shown. Firstly , it is because since young I have always enjoyed water activities. Secondly, skiing and doing a balancing act under the scorching sun would not be easy but with the help of my fellow friends it would not seem as though. Lastly, we can learn important life skills by doing this activity .For example , communication skills is really important . But nevertheless this would be an exhilarating activity!

2) A risky and dangerous sports that young people would enjoy participating would be " bungee jumping " because in this activity we are putting our lives in danger . Bungee jumping may give us great thrills it is because from my personal experience , after we free fall , the bungee cord tugs would back up with a sudden and great force. It is dangerous because this can give us spine and eyes injuries not only that the price is also exorbitant .Nevertheless i had an enjoyable experience.

3)In Singapore , i feel that safety plays an important role . For example in schools we practice fire drill exercise at least twice a year . In my opinion i think having such exercises will be helpful because it gets us prepared in case of emergency and we would feel more safe and also we will not be worrying or panicking about where to go when such a thing happens.
